Age. Aarakocra reach maturity by age 8. Compared to humans, aarakocra don't usually live longer than 60 years.

Alignment. Most aarakocra are good and rarely choose sides when it comes to law and chaos. Tribal leaders and warriors might be lawful, while explorers and adventurers might tend toward chaotic.

Size. Aarakocra are about 5 feet tall. They have thin, lightweight bodies that weigh between 80 and 100 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Dive Bomb. While you are flying, dive at least 20 feet towards a target and hit it with a melee weapon attack, you deal extra damage to that target. This damage equals your proficiency bonus.

Airial Attunement. You are able to use your ties to the elemental plane of air to sense the extraplanar around you. You’re able to cast the Detect Evil and Good spell, but you are only able to detect creatures with it. Additionally, you can cast the Unseen Servant spell, which takes the form of a cloud or harmless twister. At 3rd level, you can cast Gust of Wind. Once you’ve cast a spell this way, you can’t cast that spell again until you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Talons. Your talons are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Language. You can speak, read, and write Common and Auran.
