When you would fail a Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on a shield of faith spell cast using the shield, you can use your reaction to expend another charge to succeed on the saving throw instead. **Deadly Rebuke.** Immediately after a creature hits you with a melee attack, as a reaction you can expend 1 charge to deal 3d6 force damage to that creature. **Guardian's Protection.** When a creature you can see within 5 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction and expend 1 charge to take that damage, instead of the creature taking it. When you do so, the damage type changes to force. **Mind Guard.** You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed while you are conscious. Whenever a creature within the range of this aura fails a saving throw against being charmed, as a reaction you can expend 3 charges to force that creature to reroll the saving throw. If you are 18th level or higher, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. ##### Exalted While holding this shield, you gain a +3 bonus to AC and immunity to fire damage. The number of charges shield has increases to 10 and regains 1d6+4 expended charges each day at dawn. **Watcher's Protection.** As an action you can expend 5 charges, to give advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the start of your next turn to up to ten creatures of your choice within 60 feet of you that can hear you. Each target also gains temporary hit points equal to your level plus your charisma modifier. **Bulwark.** You can use a bonus action and expend 3 charges to make yourself resistant to all damage for 1 minute or until you are no longer holding the shield. **Relentless Protector.** Whenever you want to use an ability of the shield that requires a reaction and you have already used your reaction this turn, you can expend 1 additional charge to use that ability without requiring your reaction. This cost increases by 1 each time you use it until you regain your reaction at the start of your turn, which then resets to 1 charge requirement. **Sword of the Watcher.** As an object interaction, you can pull the engraved sword from the shield or put it back. If a creature that is not attuned to the Watchers' Shield tries to wield the sword, it acts as a magical sword made of adamantine without any additional properties. ## Sword of the Watcher Weapon (longsword), legendary You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this adamantine magic weapon. When you hit a fiend, fey, celestial or aberration with this weapon, it takes an extra 3d6 damage. While you hold the sword, you have advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws, you are immune to being charmed. When you take the attack action on your turn, you can expend 2 charges from the Watchers' Shield to gain a reach of 30 ft with this sword until the end of your turn. Any damage you deal this way deals force damage instead of its regular damage type.
##### Origin of Watchers' Shield It is told that this shield was forged from the core of the Adamantite elemental for one of the founders of the Order of Watchers, Vecren Tallmark. Vecren was a human Oathbreaker Paladin who was bent on the idea that gods did not aid this world as much as they actually can. So instead of begging them for a puny amount of their power, he denied his paladin oath and created the "Godbreaker Crystal" with his friends. The crystal itself and the this team was the first steps of the watchers order. When Vecren's life came close to its end, Vernen sacrificed himself and transfered all his remaining powers into the shield, requesting the next generations to use the shield to protect this realm.
