Sacred Oath: Oath of the Rainbow
Sacred Oath
At 3rd level, a paladin gains the Sacred Oath feature, which offers you the choice of a subclass. The following option is available to you when making that choice.
Oath of the Rainbow
A small group of paladins worship the rainbow as a symbol of peace, unity, and happiness, and try to emulate its beauty in their actions. Their devotion to this cause gives them divine powers that make them powerful agents of good and happiness.
Tenets of the Rainbow
Rainbow paladins are inspired by the beauty of the phenomenon.
We're All Siblings Under the Same Sky. The rainbow appears in the sky for everyone. Treat everyone with courtesy and politeness, as we are all sharing the same world.
Beautiful Things Must Be Protected. The beauty of the rainbow is inspiring. Whenever something threatens life, happiness, nature, and the simple pleasures of the world, raise your weapon to defend them.
There Is No Evil That Lasts Forever. The rainbow always appears after the storm. Never let hope disappear in times of difficulty.

Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of the Rainbow feature
You gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Chromatic Smite. As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity to extract the powers of the colors of the rainbow. For 1 minute, whenever you damage a creature with your Divine Smite or Improved Divine Smite features, you
deal 1d8 extra damage of one of the following damage types with that attack, accompanied by a flash of the associated color: acid (orange), cold (cyan), fire (red), lightning (yellow), necrotic (purple), poison (green), or thunder (blue).
Turn the Shadows. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring fiends and monstrosities, using your Channel Divinity. Each fiend or monstrosity that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage.
A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can't willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can't take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there's nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.
Aura of Unity
7th-level Oath of the Rainbow feature
You emanate an aura while you are not incapacitated. When you or any creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you deal damage with a weapon or spell, they can use the Help action to grant advantage on another creature within the aura's next attack roll as a bonus action before the end of their turn.
When you reach the 18th level in this class, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Chromatic Protection
15th-level Oath of the Rainbow feature
At the end of a long rest, choose two of the following damage types: acid (orange), cold (cyan), fire (red), lightning (yellow), necrotic (purple), poison (green), or thunder (blue). You gain resistance to those damage types until your next long rest, as something on your body changes to become the colors associated with those damage types.
Rainbow Avatar
20th-level Oath of the Rainbow feature
You become an avatar of happiness and hope. For 1 minute, your hair glows with the colors of the rainbow, and your eyes are completely white, with no visible iris or pupil, and when you move, you leave a rainbow trail in the air for 1 round. For that duration, you also get the following benefits:
- You gain a flight speed of 30 feet and can hover.
- You can use an action to end the following conditions on any number of creatures within 30 feet of you: blind, charmed, deaf, frightened, paralyzed, poisoned, or stunned.
- Whenever a creature ends its turn within 30 feet of you, you can grant it temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + your paladin level. A creature cannot receive this benefit if it has temporary hit points.
After using this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend a 5th level spell slot to use it again.
