Roguish Archetype Option
Some rogues succeed on their wit, skill, luck, or panache. You embrace all of these qualities as you unleash your inner Persona - a manifestation of one's rebellious spirit
Rogues who embrace the Phantom Thief flout oppressive authorities, expose the corruption that takes root in the dark corners of society, and make a name for themselves, all while looking suave and graceful.
Visage of Rebellion
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can magically don the persona of the phantom thief. You learn the disguise self spell, and you can cast it without expending a spell slot. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
You can cast disguise self this way as a bonus action, or as a reaction when you roll initiative. When you are under the effects of this spell, your AC is equal to 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.
Sinful Shell
Also at 3rd level, you can produce a magical firearm to dispatch tyrannical foes. When you attack, you can choose to conjure a magical firearm to make the attack, which disappears immediately after.
You are proficient with this weapon, which counts as a simple ranged weapon for you and has a normal range of 30 ft. and a long range of 120 ft. You add your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier to attack and damage rolls with this weapon. On a hit, this weapon deals force damage equal to 2d6 + your rogue level. If this attack qualifies for Sneak Attack, add your Sneak Attack dice to this damage roll.
You can use this special attack a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once), regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Spirit of the Trickster
At 9th level, you can empower your Cunning Action with supernatural effects.
Wings of Rebellion. When you use your Cunning Action to Dash, you sprout magical wings and gain a flying speed of 60 ft. until the end of your current turn.
Dark Sidewinder. When you use your Cunning Action to Disengage, you can choose one creature within 5 ft. of you to wrap in smothering shadows, causing them to be blinded until the end of their next turn or they take damage.
One with Shadows. When you use your Cunning Action to Hide, you also become invisible. This effect lasts until you take an action or reaction.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Third Eye
Starting at 13th level, you learn to discern hidden details about things around you. When you spend 1 minute observing a creature or an object, you learn specific information about what you’re observing.
Creature. You learn the creature’s type, Armor Class, as well as their emotional state.
Object. You learn the object’s market value in gp and if it’s magical or not. If it’s a magic item, you learn its rarity.
Persona Unleashed
At 17th level, your Visage of Rebellion is fully unleashed. While you’re under the effects of your Visage of Rebellion, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a +20 ft. bonus to your movement speeds
- You are immune to being targeted by divination magic and magical sensors
- Damage you take is reduced by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 0)
