Verdani Adventurer with Aetherite Wings
Art: Johannes Voss
I was born after the Fall of the Empire, but I have done a lot of study on it! My patron, Andariel, offered me access to their scrying sensors and the records they had of the empire. Verdani was under constant watch by the celestials, particularly Zerachiel, who seeked to understand their desire for aetherite.
I think the celestials secretly feared the Verdani empire, at least while they were at their peak. The King of Glass' power was comparable to that of the celestials and fiends after the Great Collapse, so perhaps they saw something in the nation that made them believe the possibility for total planar domination was possible if given enough time.

Pact Boons
At 3rd level, your otherworldly patron bestows a gift upon you for your loyal service. The following option is available to a warlock, in addition to those offered in other supplements: Pact of the Wing.
Pact of the Wing
You have been blessed with the gift of flight from your patron. As an action, you can manifest a pair of incorporeal wings, giving you a flying speed of 30 feet. These wings last until you dismiss them as a bonus action. You can fly only in short bursts; you fall if you end your turn in the air and nothing else is holding you aloft. To use this speed, you can’t be wearing medium or heavy armour.
All wings you create through this feature do not damage the armour you wear. You choose the appearance they have when you gain this feature.
When you reach 5th level, your wings become strong enough to support your weight for extended periods of time. You no longer fall if you finish your turn airborne.
Flight At Low Levels
Dungeon Masters have differing opinions on flight at lower levels at the table. If your Dungeon Master allows flight, you can apply the 5th level benefit to the original Pact Boon benefits.
Eldritch Invocations
At 2nd level, a warlock gains the Eldritch Invocations feature. Here are new options for that feature, in addition to the options presented in other supplements.
If an eldritch invocation has a prerequisite, you must meet it to learn the invocation. You can learn the invocation at the same time that you meet its prerequisite. A level prerequisite refers to your level in this class.
Avian's Rush
Prerequisite: Pact of the Wing feature
You can rush forward with a strong intensity. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your flying speed until the end of the turn.
Once you use this invocation, you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Call of the Wind
Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Wing feature
You can choose to summon your wings as a bonus action on your turn instead of an action.
Flyby
Prerequisite: 9th level, Pact of the Wing feature
While your wings are summoned, your movement that uses your flying speed does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Gift of Flight
Prerequisite: 9th level, Pact of the Wing feature
When you use an action to summon your wings, you can touch a creature and bestow them with your incorporeal wings instead of yourself. These wings last until you or the target dismisses them as a bonus action, or the target creature dies.
While a creature has your wings, any eldritch invocations that you know with the Pact of the Wing pre-requisite can be used by your target.
Like a Feather
Prerequisite: Pact of the Wing feature
You can cast feather fall without expending a spell slot or material components. When you cast the spell this way, your wings temporarily bloom to slow your descent.
