Wandering Conclave

By @homebrewlesbian

Those in the Wandering Conclave are rugged, experienced survivalists. Cartographers, nomads, and explorers of distant lands all find themselves in the Wandering Conclave. Experienced travellers and clever combatants, Wanderers are akin to Champion fighters; those who simply excel beyond the skills of an average ranger.

Wandering Magic

Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Wandering Conclave Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.

9th Leomund's Tiny Hut

Traveler of Many Lands

At 3rd level, through your extensive travels and expeditions, you gain proficiency in one of the following in each category. You are also prepared for danger at any moment and may add your Wisdom modifier to your Initiative bonus.

  • Land Vehicles or Water Vehicles
  • Herbalism Kit, Cartographer's Tools or Navigator's Tools
  • Persuasion, History, or Insight.
  • An additional language of choice.

Precision Strikes

Additionally at 3rd level, you've learned to study and peer into the intent and motions of your foes. As a bonus action, before you use your action to attack, you may attempt to prepare a precision strike against a creature you can see.

Make a Wisdom (Insight) check contested by the creature's Charisma (Deception) check. On a success, you have advantage on your first attack against the creature and deal additional damage equal to your Ranger level. This benefit ceases at the end of your turn.

You may use a Precision Strike a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus and regain all uses after a long rest.

Nimble Motion

At 7th level, you're difficult to keep pinned down in combat. As a reaction, at the end of another creature's turn, you may immediately move half your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Rugged Explorer

At 11th level, your experience with harsh environments and survival in crushing landscapes has enured your constitution beyond that of the average ranger. You gain resistance to Fire and Cold damage. In addition, you can hold your breath twice as long as normal.

Additional Fighting Style

At 11th level, an unparalleled adaptor, you can choose a second option from the Fighting Style class feature.

Preternatural Reflexes

If you have expended your reaction, you may take one additional reaction on your turn so long as it is an Opportunity Attack or the use of your Nimble Motion feature. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (with a minimum of 1) and regain all uses after a long rest.
