Martial Archetype: Necro Knight
Martial Archetype
At 3rd level, a fighter gains the Martial Archetype feature, which offers you the choice of a subclass. The following option is available to you when making that choice.
Necro Knight
Since ancient times, stories have been told about warriors who command the powers of death to enhance their martial skills. They are said to have achieved their power by studying tomes of ancient magic. Others say that they made a pact with a god of death. Some claim that these warriors have already died, and have returned from the afterlife with the ability to use the powers of the other world in battle. Whatever the explanation, the Necro Knights are definitely real, and a force to be feared on any battlefield.

Necromancy Adept
3rd-level Necro Knight feature
You gain proficiency in the Arcana or Religion skill (your choice).
In addition, you learn 1 cantrip from the school of Necromancy from any list of spells. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this cantrip.
Reaper's Shroud
3rd-level Necro Knight feature
You can envelop your body with necromantic energy, protecting yourself from the harmful effects of the undeath and increasing the power of your attacks. As a bonus action, you can activate the Reaper's Shroud, granting you the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You have resistance to necrotic damage.
- Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can have the attack deal 1d6 extra necrotic damage to that creature.
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + your fighter level.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Sense Death
7th-level Necro Knight feature
You can use your knowledge of the energy of life and death
to check the state of health of the creatures around you. As a bonus action, you can choose a number of creatures within 60 feet of you up to to your Constitution modifier. You magically gain knowledge of each creature's state of health: whether it has all of its hit points, is missing any of its hit points, is missing half or more of its hit points, or if it is dying or dead.
Necromancer Warrior
10th-level Necro Knight feature
The extra damage from your Reaper's Shroud feature becomes 2d6.
Additionally, when you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with one of your cantrips.
Undead Vassal
15th-level Necro Knight feature
You can use your necromantic powers to conjure spirits from the afterlife: you know the summon undead spell, and you can cast it without a material component and without spending a spell slot. You regain the ability to do so when you finish a short or long rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this Spell.
Whenever you start casting the spell, you can modify it so that it doesn't require concentration. If you do so, the spell's duration becomes 1 minute for that casting.
Ultimate Reaper
18th-level Necro Knight feature
Your mastery of necromantic powers transforms you into an incarnation of the grim reaper. While your Reaper's Shroud is active, you gain a flight speed of 30 feet and can hover, and the extra damage from your Reaper's Shroud becomes 3d6.
