## Artificer Specialist At 3rd level, an Artificer gains the Artificer Specialist feature. The following option is available to an Artificer, in addition to those offered in the Player's Handbook. ### Guardian Angel Do doctors, hospitals and any kind of medicine can exist in a world in which you can bring a person back to life only with a flick of a finger? Of course. Contrary to gods, medicine is not capricious - it also can be passed to a next generation in form of knowledge, where even greatest of clerics and druids eventually perish. | Valkyrie Suit | #### Guardian Angel Spells Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Guardian Angel Spells table. #### Tool Proficiency When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with smith's tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice. #### Caduceus Staff Beginning at 3rd level, your pursuit to conjoin healing magic with complicated medical technology have led to you making your *magnum opus* – the Caduceus Staff. At the end of a long rest, you can turn a regular staff into Caduceus Staff, provided you have smith's tools in hand. \columnbreak
After the change, Caduceus Staff acquire "Two-Handed" weapon property. While using the staff, you gain following benefits: * You can use the Caduceus Staff as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells. * You can perform the somatic components of spells even when you hold the staff in both hands. * Caduceus Staff contains a tiny shock generator at its tip. It counts as a simple meele weapon and it deals 1d8 lightning damage on a hit. When you attack with it, you can use your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity modifier, for the attack and damage rolls. * Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with Caduceus Staff, you can deal an extra 1d8 lightning damage to that target. Additionally, you can use Caduceus Staff to heal and empower your allies:
**Healing Beam.** When you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a healing beam that locks on to a creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you, other than you. That creature regains hit points equal to your spell attack modifier for a 1st-level spell slot. For each spell slot higher than 1st, you can restore an additional hit points equal to your spell attack modifier, up to a maximum of four times your spell attack modifier. \pagebreakNum
**Amplifying Beam.** When you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a damage amplifying beam that locks on to a creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you, other than you. That creature may add your Intelligence modifier to any damage roll until the start of your next turn, but only once per your Attack action. The effect ends early if you are incapacitated or you die.
You can have only one Caduceus Staff at the time. If you attempt to create another, the old one reverts to its regular state. When you die, the staff continues to be Caduceus Staff for another 24 hours, after which it reverts to its regular state. #### Extra Attack Starting at 5th level, you can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. #### Staff Modifications At 9th level, you learn how to use your artificer infusions to modify your Caduceus Staff. That staff now counts as separate items for the purposes of your Infuse Items feature: shock generator (weapon) , staff and arcane conductor (ring) . Each of those items can bear one of your infusions. At the end of a long rest, you can turn a suit of armor you are wearing into Valkyrie Suit, provided you have smith's tools in hand. You gain the following benefits while wearing this armor: * You equip the armor with mechanical, angel-like wings that grant you flying speed equal to your current walking speed. This benefit works only in short bursts; you fall if you end your turn in the air and nothing else is holding you aloft. * Your rate of descent slows to 60 feet per round. When you use Healing or Amplifying Beam on an airborne creature, you can slow down your rate of descent to up to 10 feet per round until the start of your next turn. When you reach the ground, you take no falling damage and can land on your feet. * If you didn’t take any damage in the last round, you can, as a bonus action, spend one of your hit dice to restore hit points equal to 1d8 + your Constitution modifier. * The magic of your armor causes you to age more slowly. If you wear that armor for at least one hour a day, for every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year. The armor continues to be Valkyrie Suit until you don another suit of armor or you die.
