The Dragon

Ancient Dragons are among the most powerful beings in the material plane. They can live eons, gathering unimaginable amounts power, wealth and wisdom. Maybe you sought after those things, and found a Dragon wanting to share them in return of your servitude. Maybe you are a Kobold who fell in the graces of your master, or you are a Dragonborn, and your powers come from one of your ancestors. Do you serve a greedy master who uses you to expand his horde and guard it through his slumber, or do you serve a good willed master, that uses you as a means to learn about the greater word and help those in need? Whatever the reason, or the conditions of your pact, the power of the Dragons is now in your hands.

Dragons are as varied as they are powerful, but they are grouped in two main categories: Chromatic and Metalic. Chromatic dragons are greedy and mostly evil, hailing from the evil godess Tiamat. You have resistance to the damage type associated with your patron, and you can add your constitution modifier to your AC (minimum of +1), provided you are not wearing medium or heavy armor. Additionally, you can use your bonus action on your turn to sprout Draconic wings (unless you are wearing medium or heavy armor that isn't specially crafted for your wings), gaining a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Dragon's Call

6th-level Dragon feature

As a bonus action on your turn, a spectral image of your patron appears on your space for a brief moment, causing you to manifest one of the following effects of your choice (the DC for any of these effects is equal to your spell save DC):

  • Breath weapon: You unleash a powerful breath, forcing any creature in a 30ft cone to make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d10 damage from your patron's damge type on a failed save, and half in a success.
  • Frightful Presence (Chromatic only): ou force a number of creatures of your choice within 30ft that can see you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they become frightened of you for 1 minute. A frightened creature may repeat the saving throw in the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
  • Secondary Breath Weapon (Metalic Only): You release a cloud of incapacitating gas, forcing any creature in a 30ft cone to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature descends in a dreamy stupor, becoming incapacitated for a minute, until it takes damage, or until another creature uses it's action to shake it out of the stupor.

Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
