Chancing Change
Slimes generally live an uneventful life. They eat, the move toward food, they avoid threats. Occasionally, however, a slime develops slightly unusual properties. Stickier slime, greater detection range, incomplete digestion of consumed material. Most of these slimes still fall to the trials of nature and the expansion of the civilized races, but very rarely, one will accumulate enough intelligence to take on a sentient form. These "Slimegirls" find themselves in a world hostile to their existence, and must make the most out of their newfound bodies and intelligence to survive.
Not that this intelligence is a lot compared to any other race, but come on. It's a slime.
Slimegirl Features
Hybrid Nature
Your creature type is both Ooze and Humanoid.
Ability Score Increase
As an ooze, your lack of internal organs means less squishy things to worry about. Your Constitution and Strength scores each increase by 2.
However, as an ooze, you may have difficulty with concepts, social cues and common knowledge required to function in society. Your Intelligence and Charisma scores each decrease by 2.
Age
Slimes age with experiences, not time. Memories are constantly gained and lost by the shifting of a slime's goopy body, and your increased intellect (compared to other slimes) does little to mitigate this.
As slimes can continue to grow and expand indefinitely, your maximum age is unknown. However, Slimegirls generally achieve a preferred body image within one or two years of becoming sentient. For reasons that cannot be explained by science or magic, the large majority of preferred body images tend to female.
Alignment
Independent and self-reliant, Slimegirls tend toward a neutral alignment. With no knowledge of societal norms, their actions tend towards the chaotic spectrum.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Speed
Your walking speed is 30 feet.
Blindsight
You gain 30 feet of Blindsight.
Poison Resistance
Being made of ooze, your body is naturally resistant to poison. You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Amorphous Body
Due to your amorphous nature, you can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide.
Instinctive Tool
Slimes absorb everything around them, and this extends to tool use. You gain proficiency in a tool of your choice, and that tool is permanently integrated into your body, appearing and disappearing at will. You double your proficiency bonus for any ability checks you make with it.
Flexible Ability Score Increase (Optional)
If you are using the optional rules for flexible modifiers, you may place your Ability Score Increases modifiers in any stat you with, as long as they do not overlap. Whichever scores you decide to increase, none of the scores can be raised above 20. Alternatively, instead of reducing two scores by 2, you may choose to subtract 1 point from all scores not increased by this feature.
