# Primal Path # Path of the Great Ape Barbarians who walk this path learn how to fight and survive as their ancient primate ancestors once did, throwing away all modern sensibilities, these warriors are unorthodox and barbaric. Your abilities may’ve awoken after spending years alone in the jungle, or perhaps they were gifted to you by a fey spirit. ___ ### ## Primate Rage *3rd-level Path of the Great Ape feature* ___ You can channel the strength of your primate ancestors when you rage. If you do so, for the duration of your rage you gain the following benefits: * Your body morphs to resemble that of a large ape. If you are smaller than Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing. If you lack the room to become Large, your size doesn’t change. * Your unarmed strikes gain a d6 damage die and has a reach of 10ft. The damage die of your unarmed strikes increase to a d8 at 6th level, and a d10 at 14th level. * You can use your bonus action to make an unarmed strike against a creature you are currently grappling. * You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. Additionally, you can move along vertical surfaces without falling if you have at least one hand free.

Subclass by DNDBlue | Version 3.3 \columnbreak ## Stiff Knuckles *6th-level Path of the Great Ape feature* ___ Your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. ## Kong *10th-level Path of the Great Ape feature* ___ While you are in a Primate Rage, you gain the following benefits: * Your unarmed strikes deal double the damage to objects and structures. * Whenever a creature finishes their turn while grappled by you, you can deal bludgeoning damage equal to your strength modifier to them. * When you grapple a creature that is smaller than you, your walking and climbing speed is no longer halved when you move them. ## Great Ape *14th-level Path of the Great Ape feature* ___ You have unlocked your turn primal form. When you enter a Primate Rage, you can choose to become huge, instead of large. Additionally, whenever you successfully grapple a creature that is at least two sizes smaller than you, they are restrained until the grapple ends.
