The Tempest
Your Patron is the very heart of the storm; the gale that fells trees, the rain that floods the planes, the thunder that walks the skies. Its voice is heard and understood in all languages, its temper legendary. Likewise it's whims are unknowable; on one hand sinking a barge of slavers, on the other adding much needed speed to a ship on a mission of rescue. But why would such a being choose you as its benefactor? Perhaps it senses a similar mercurial temperament in you, perhaps it simply aids you on a whim. Whatever the reason; you are the recipeient of The Tempest's favour, that of frigid wind, thunder and rage.

Cold Embrace
The Tempest has a natural link to the oceans of world, and it extends that connection to you. At level 1 you gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed. You are able to hold your breath for double the amount of time (1+CON modifier x2). You gain the following bonus cantrips:
shocking grasp, gust
Eye of the Storm
As your pact is sealed you immediately feel the rage of the storm building inside of you, it's intensity building along with your own power. From 1st level, as an action you become the centre of a raging storm. The storm moves with you, covers a 15-foot cube and lasts for 1 minute. Any creature (friend or foe) that ends its turn inside the storm must make a Dexterity save or take 1d6 lightning damage, a successful save halves the damage. You can perform this action an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus. The storm can be dismissed with a bonus action. A long rest regains all uses.
- At level 8 the storm expands to cover a 20-foot cube and causes 2d6 lightning damage.
- At level 12 the storm expands to cover a 25-foot cube and causes 2d8 lightning damage.
One with the Storm
At 6th level you gain resistance to lightning damage and +10 to your movement speed. Additionally, if you cast Eldritch Blast your damage type is now lightning.
Under Pressure
At 10th level your connection to your patron strengthens further, giving you tenuous access to it's home Plane. As a reaction; when struck you briefly become filled with The Tempest's rage; opening a portal to the Plane of Air and blasting your enemies back with a furious wind. Any creature or untethered object within 10ft must make a Dexterity save or be blown back 20ft and take 3d8 bludgeoning damage. Successful save halves damage and the creature does not move.
You can perform this reaction an amount of times equal to your profiency bonus, however if you expend all your uses before taking a long rest you take 1 point of exhaustion due to the stress that opening a portal puts on your body.
Ride the Lightning
At level 14 you use your connection to your Patron to imbue your entire body with electrical energy. As an action you can move up to 50 feet in any direction (including vertical movement). Any creature caught in the path of your movement must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d8 electrical damage, a successful save halves damage. Any movement you make this turn does not trigger attacks of opportunity and ignores difficult terrain. You can perform this ability once per long rest.
