Fighter:
Duelist
With a graceful and deadly stance, duelists favor precise strikes using a single blade to traditional shielded combat. Nimble and evasive, duelists react faster than their opponent's movements, evading the fiercest of foes and turning the enemy's strength against themselves.
Duelist Features
| Fighter Level | Features |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Striking footwork |
| 7th | Evasion |
| 10th | Lithe stance |
| 15th | Graceful resolve |
| 18th | Severing stance |
Striking footwork
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in dexterity saving throws.
During a long rest, you can practice your footwork with one weapon you're holding. The weapon gains the finesse property when you use it until you practice with another.
Evasion
At 7th level, you can nimbly dodge out of the way of certain area effects, such as a red dragon's fiery breath or an Ice Storm spell. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.
Lithe stance
At 10th level, you learn to blend both offence and defence in battle. When you take the attack action, you can dodge as a bonus action.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your dexterity modifier, and regain expended uses on a short or long rest.
Graceful resolve
At 15th level, all of your movements are deliberate and wilful. You cannot be frightened or restrained.
Severing stance
At 18th level, you can strike out at the slightest opening. When a creature within your reach makes an attack against you, you can make a weapon attack against it as a reaction.
