### Discordant Chorister "" description ### Tenets of Omnimaw **???.** ?. **???.** ?. **???.** ?. **???.** ?. #### Contract with Omnimaw Those who choose to serve Omnimaw are granted power over sound, using it to tear enemies apart or steal the very voice from their mouths. ***Invoke Authority: Wailing Blast.*** You unleash a vicious wail that throws out thunderous energy at your enemies. Each creature in a 15-foot cone originating from you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d12 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed. This abilities damage increases by 1d12 when you reach 5th level (3d6), 9th level (4d12), 13th level (5d12), and 17th level (6d6). ***Invoke Authority: Mantle of Devilry.*** You gain the ability to cloak yourself in infernal magic that makes others fear you. As a bonus action, you cast command, without expending a spell slot, and you take on an appearance of infernal terror for 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). During this time, you can cast command as a bonus action on each of your turns, without expending a spell slot. Any creature effected by resonance automatically fails its saving throw against the command you cast with this feature. #### Dark Disciple You gain proficiency with the Performance skill as well as one of the following skills: Deception, Intimidation, Perception, or Stealth. In addition you learn the booming blade and vicious mockery cantrips. Some of your abilities will have you forcing a creature to make a saving throw against a spell or other effect, the DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier for those saving throws. #### Resonance You can use your bonus action to release a melody, any hostile creature that starts its turn within 5 feet of you must make a Charisma saving throw, on a failure that creature suffers from resonance, when a creature starts its turn outside the radius it can repeat the saving throw ending the effect on a success. When you reach specific illrigger levels the radious of your resonance increases to 10 feet at 7th level, 15 feet at 11th level, 20 feet at 15th level, and 30 feet at 19th level. When you hit a creature effected by resonance with a weapon attack they suffer an additional 1d6 thunder damage, when you reach 11th level this damage is increased to 2d6. #### Voice Stealer Starting at 7th level, you can use your action to target a creature effected by resonance within 30 feet of you, that creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the creature loses the ability to speak or make any other kind of verbal sound for 1 minute, at the end of an effected creature's turn they can repeat the saving throw ending the effect on a success. #### Discordant Defense Starting at 9th level, you gain resistance to thunder damage and any of your illrigger abilities that deal thunder damage do not effect you. #### Death Throes Starting at 13th level, when you consume one of your seals or a creature with a seal on it dies all hostile creatures within 15 feet of it take 3d6 thunder damage. #### Interference 17th level, when you place a seal on a creature they must make a Wisdom saving throw, or become stunned until the end of your next turn. #### Distortion Devil Starting at 20th level, as an action you can transform into a distortion devil, [physical description]. For the next 10 minutes you gain the following benefits: - Your type becomes fiend (devil) and Hell is your home plane. - Creatures within the radius of your resonance automatically fail their saving throw against it. - The radius of your resonance increases to 60 feet. - You are immune to thunder damage. - When you take damage from a creature within 60 feet of you, you can use your reaction to cause that creature to take half the damage you took. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. ##### Interdict Improvements As your Discordant Chorister levels up, Omnimaw’s interdiction carries more power ***Resonant Seal.*** At 6th level, when an interdicted creature is also suffering from resonance its ability checks and attack rolls suffer a minus 1d4 penalty. When you reach 13th level the die is increased to 1d6. ***Debilitating Noise.*** At 10th level, creatures effected by your resonant seal now also suffer disadvantage on their saving throws. ***Thunderous Entrance.*** At 18th level, when you place one of your seals on a creature you can also teleport to within 5 feet of it, all creatures within 10 feet of you when you arrive must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 3d6 thunder damage on a failure or half as much on a success. \pagebreak #### Summon Nightmare 15th-level Illrigger feature (replaces Summon Hell) Beginning at 15th level, as an action, you can summon a nightmare to serve you. The nightmare appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet. It is bound to you and must obey your commands to the best of its ability. In combat, the it shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again. \pagebreak This subclass was created for the Illrigger class created and owned by MCDM productions, and the archdevil it serves was created by Montyglu the DM for The Unexpectables.
