##### Business in Phandalin Good day, adventurers. I hope your journey to Chult is going well - Phandalin is good as ever. The mine is fully up and running, I don't think we've ever seen as many people passing through! Your deeds are common word around town now, no one doesn't know the names of OP, Naivara, Kcusu & the Salami Siblings. ___ We do have one slight problem that needs your words on. The lord of Triboar, the nearest other town, wants to set up a trade route between our towns. While this does sound good, he isn't a particularly good person and his citizens would likely become hostile towards us if we started trade with their dictator. However, if we deny or retaliate, while the common people will be happy all the nearby merchant lords would become wary of collaborating in the future. What do you all think? Reply with haste, avoiding unrest is always best. ___ Your dear friend, Sildar Hallwinter. ___ P.S I wouldn't trust the Emerald Enclave in your area. I had a secret chat with Medusa as she has entrusted communications to me, and she told me some potentially concerning news. If you are unaware, the Emerald Enclave are a group of adventurers and heroes that work together to dispel curses, corruption and cleanse areas with undead. Years ago they started a crusade in the jungle of Chult to attempt to destroy the undead, but the Zhentarim (a criminal group of spies and assassins) managed to infiltrate their ranks while they were under attack by zombies. I'm really not sure if you should trust everything they say, especially about the curse ending the world in 80 days. These sorts of events have occured before (such as the spellplague) and they never destroyed the world like the Emerald Enclave claims this one will. Their intentions of breaking the curse quickly may have a sinister meaning.
##### Business in Phandalin II Good day, adventurers. I hope your journey is going well, as I once again seek your advice regarding a political issue. ___ So, one of my old friends has strayed off his old path of adventuring for a tamer life as a merchant. However, it seems his brash and reckless attitude didn't fully disappear, as he recently managed to scam a group of merchants in a relatively large trade district. Technically it wasn't illegal, it just happens that the merchants were somehow convinced to sell an exuberantly large amount of materials and produce for quite a low price. ___ Naturally the merchants are mad, and chasing him. He's come here and asked for my (or your, rather) permission to temporarily hide from said merchants. He's adamant that he'll be able to pull of a convincing lie, and while I don't doubt him this could put our social status at risk if busted. For our benefit he promises a small split of the profits. What do you all think? ___ Your emissary, Sildar Hallwinter. ___ P.S - Triboar was recently attacked and raided by Fire Giants, not long after we declined the trade deal. They were somewhat saved by an odd gang featuring a half-orc, dragonborn, half-elf and human dragging around a dead warforged. Now that their cruel lord has been slain, I see no reason why not to establish a safe trade route between us.
