Biology and appearance
Human-like in appearance, the Ysanna are descended primarily from human Jedi. Legends tell that non-humans died out after the cataclysm and only the human population survived, but another likely outcome is that the very limited non-human population got interbred into the new Ysannan species.
Society and culture
Descended from the survivors of the cataclysmic supernova caused by the destruction of the Cron Cluster during the Great Sith War, many of the Ysanna's ancestors were members of the Jedi Order studying at the Great Jedi Library. Through generations of interbreeding and survival on the barren and toxic surface of Ossus, the Ysanna have abandoned the ways of civilization and their knowledge of The Force but retain a genetic and ever-present Force Sensitivity, treating it as magic and protecting the ancient Jedi ruins without venturing inside them.
The Ysannan recognize The Force and anyone who wields it, protecting the ancient Jedi ruins from anyone, even from each other as they do not venture inside the ruins. Ysannan culture is mostly tribalistic, consisting of hunter gatherer tribes. Guided by The Force to survive, the Ysanna have a deep yet merely instinctual understanding of The Force, aiding and protecting them for generations.
Names
Ysannan names are simple, reflecting their tribal nature, seldom consisting of more than two syllables and having no family or "clan" names. The closest thing to a distinction are non-hereditary titles one earns through their lives, consisting of simple adjectives such as "Great".

Ysannan traits
Ability Score Increase: Your Wisdom Score increases by two, and your Dexterity Score increases by one.
Age: Ysannan reach adulthood in their late teens and live less than 50 years. Though this life expectancy is taken from their primitive civilization.
Alignment: Ysannan unstructured culture and Light-side connected heritage makes them tend towards Neutral Light. Even though there are exceptions, those are exceedingly rare.
Size: Ysannan vary in height and build, but are generally agile in order to hunt on Ossus. They stand anywhere between 4 and 7 feet. Regardless of your possition in that range, your size is medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 ft.
Force-Sensitive: You know the Guidance at-will Force Power. When you reach 3rd level, you learn and can cast the Sense Emotion Force Power once per day. When you reach 5th level, you learn and can cast the Force Enlightenment Force Power once per day.
Apocalyptic Survivors: Due to Ossus´ noxious atmosphere and perilous storms, Ysannians evolved to be naturally resistant to various types of poison, granting them advantage on Saving Throws against poisons and resistance to poison damage.
Adept Survivors: You have proficiency in the survival skill.
Languages: Since, if you took this race you are assumed to have had contact with the outer galaxy, you can speak, write and read Galactic Basic and Ysannan.
