Circle of the Guardian
These druids use the power of the plants of forests to protect them from anyone trying to harm it. They protect nature and in turn nature protects them. These druids control the plant alongside them to grow into giant guardians of pure natural wrath.
Spells
- 2nd | Entangle, Goodberry
- 3rd | Barksin, Spikegrowth
- 5th | Plant growth, Speak with plants
- 7th | Grasping vine, Black tentacles (appear as vines)
- 9th | Commune with nature, Tree stride
Guardian form
At second level you gain the ability to enter your guardian form. As a bonus action you can expend one bonus action and a usage of wild shape to enter guardian form. While in guardian form you gain the following traits:
- Your unarmed attacks deal 1d8 of bludgeoning damage and have reach
- You can grapple creatures 10 feet away and you can grapple an amount of creatures equal to your wisdom modifier.
- You size grows to large, if it wasn't already larger.
- Your speed is reduced by 10 ft. to a minimum of 15 ft.
- Your unarmored AC becomes 10+DEX+CON
Extra attack
At 6th level when you take the attack action on your turn you can make two attacks. You can also choose to forgo one of these attacks to cast a cantrip.
Added growth
At 10th level when you enter Guardian form you can chose one of three specializations:
- Roots
- When you are in Guardian form while you are conscious, you can take a bonus action to heal 1d8 + wisdom modifier hp
- Vines
- When you make an unarmed strike once per turn you can force the target to make a strength save against your spell save DC or be grappeled.
- Thornes
- When someone touches you or starts their turn touching you that creature takes 1d4 piercing and 1d4 poison damage
Mighty Guardian
At 14th level when in guardian form you gain resistance to piercing and slashing damage. Your reach with your unarmed attacks and grapples increase by 5 ft.
