# True Drakes ### True Drake Origins True Drakes are a race of intelligent lesser dragons, easily mistaken as young dragons, they have the ability to take the form of humanoids. They are descended from dragons who experimented heavily with their shapechanging abilities. ### Reproductive Parasitism Due to their solitary nature, true drakes rarely meet each other, but they are readily able to create offspring with humanoids, and prefer to do so. The offspring between a true drake and humanoid is always a true drake, but the humanoid appearance is the natural result of the true drake parent's humanoid form and the humanoid parent. The offspring of two true drakes has the humanoid appearance that is the natural result of the parents' humanoid forms. ### True Drake Traits Your True Drake character shares the same characteristics in common with all other True Drakes. **Ability Score Increase.** Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and two other ability scores of your choice increase by 1. **Dragon.** You are a dragon rather than a humanoid. **Age.** True Drakes age roughly twice as fast as dragons, and live for half as long, around 500 years. **Alignment.** True Drakes tend to match the alignment of their ancestry, though more on the neutral side. **Size.** At the top of their head in their true form, trues drakes are a little shorter than humans.
