\columnbreak ### Quasit Quasits bear the stature of a large lizard standing on its hind legs with long horns with the appearance of insectoid mandibles. They spawn from the whirling chaos of the Abyss and typically plot wicked schemes, often at the behest of greater demons. To assist their devious ends, they are able to transform their bodies into small beasts and when threatened, frighten foes so they can make a quick escape or dispatch their terrified victim. A quasit character needn't be wicked or treacherous but they originate from a place so rife with chaos that even were they to reject it, it has left a mark on their character in some form. Your quasit character has the following traits as a result of their heritage. *****Ability Score Increase.***** Increase one ability score by 2, and increase a different one by 1. ***Age.*** Quasits are spawned out of the chaos of the Abyss and spring into the world fully formed. You do not age. ***Size.*** Quasits are typically around 2 feet tall. Your size is Small. ***Speed.*** Your walking speed is 35 feet. ***Fiend.*** Your creature type is fiend, rather than humanoid. ***Darkvision.*** You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. ***Shapechanger.*** As an action, you can transform into a toad for 1 hour. While you are transformed in this way, your game statistics remain the same except your speed is replaced with the beast's speed. You can't cast spells, and your ability to speak or take any action that requires hands is limited to the capabilities of your beast form. You choose whether your equipment falls to the ground in your space, merges into your new form, or is worn by it. You revert to your normal form if you fall unconscious, drop to 0 hit points, die or choose to as a bonus action. At 3rd level, you may also transform into a centipede and at 5th level, you may also transform into a bat. Once you have transformed into one of these animals, you cannot transform again until you complete a short or long rest. ***Scare.*** Either by emitting a terrifying shriek or changing your appearance to that of a horrifying figure temporarily, as an action you can scare one creature within 30 feet of you. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. The DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your choice out of your Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma modifier. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if it can see you and you are within 30 feet of it. On a success, the effect ends. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. ***Expert Scouts.*** You have proficiency in the Stealth skill. ***Languages.*** You can speak, read, and write Common and Abyssal.
