Path of the Chainsaw

You have died. However, instead of a boring trip to the realm of souls as your body crumbles to dust, you have formed a pact with the chainsaw devil and gained a dark and terrible power. It is a power which will allow mighty chainsaws to grow from your body, a power which will allow you to rip apart your foes. A power which could even grant you three meals a day and a warm bed. Whatever you do with this power, its terrible strength is yours and it is up to you to see your dreams realised with horrifying ferocity.

Chainsaw Man

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, when you enter your rage, you can transform, extruding whirring chainsaws from your arms and head.

Until the rage ends, you manifest natural weapons in the forms of chainsaws and a vicious maw. They both count as simple melee weapons for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with them, as normal. You cannot use either weapon while you are holding another weapon or wielding a shield.

Chainsaws. This weapon deals 1d10 slashing damage. When you use the attack action on your turn, one creature which you hit with this weapon suffers additional slashing damage at the start of its next turn equal to your proficiency bonus.

Bite. This weapon deals 1d6 piercing damage. When you deal damage with this weapon, you regain hit points equal to the damage you dealt, provided you have less than half your hit points when you hit. You can only attack with this weapon as part of a bonus action which you may take on a turn in

which you use the attack action. You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Hell's Chainsaw

When you reach 6th level, the natural weapons from your Chainsaw Man feature count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. You also no longer need to enter rage to manifest your chainsaw natural weapons but must still enter rage to use your bite.

Launch Chain

At 6th level, you have learned to extend your chain away from yourself and make ingenious use of it. You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, you can use your chain like a grappling hook to wrap around objects up to 30 feet away, allowing you to swing off of your chain or climb it like a rope.

Unbound Chain

At 10th level, while raging, you can attempt to grapple a creature that is up to 30 feet away from you. When you successfully grapple a creature that is further than 5 feet away from you, the creature's speed is not 0 but may never move further away from you while they remain grappled. You can attempt to reel in a creature which you have grappled in this way by expending 2 feet of movement for every 1 foot you move them towards you. When a creature grappled in this way has been moved to within 5 feet of you, it follows the normal rules for grappling.

Also at the start of each of your turns, you can deal 1d4 slashing damage to all creatures grappled by you and to all creatures grappling you while you have your chainsaws manifested.

The Devil that Devils Fear Most

At 14th level, you have unleashed the true fury of the chainsaw devil and bring despair to all who stand in your way. Once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack using one of your natural weapons, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is frightened of you until the end of your next turn. The DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. If the creature is a fiend, it loses any immunity to the frightened condition against this feature. While there is at least one creature that is frightened of you, you gain a +2 bonus to your AC and your attack and damage rolls made with your natural weapons.

Eater of Names

At 14th level, if you devour the body of a fiend over the course of 1 minute you may cause its true name to be erased from existence. A fiend whose body has been devoured can never be resurrected or returned to life by any means.
