# Warlock Otherworldly Patron: The Miser Greedy dragons, paranoid beholders, and crotchety old liches might empower mortals as Miserly patrons. These entities assist their warlocks in acruing and maintaining their own hoards of wealth, in the knowledge that eventually all wealth flows to the top. ### Expanded Spell List The Miser lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following are added to the warlock spell list for you. | Spell Level | Spells | |:---:|:-----------:| | 1st | *Identify, Tenser’s Floating Disk* | | 2nd | *Arcane Lock, Locate Object* | | 3rd | *Create Food and Water, Tiny Servant* | | 4th | *Fabricate, Locate Creature* | | 5th | *Animate Objects, Creation* | ### Miser's Proficiencies *1st Level Miser Feature* When you make an Intelligence or Charisma ability check related to coin, such as correctly valuing an item or persuading a merchant to lower their prices, you count as proficient with the check and you may double your proficiency bonus for it. ### Restock Your Wares *1st Level Miser Feature* Your patron’s magic helps with amassing a collection of trinkets to keep or sell. When you cast a warlock spell of 1st level or higher, you may choose a Tiny, unsecured object that is not being worn or carried within 30 feet of you. The object magically moves up to 30 feet towards you in a straight line to land at your feet. This movement cannot traverse obstacles taller than 5 feet. \columnbreak ### Bargained Power *6th Level Miser Feature* Your patron offers unique ways to empower your spells, for a price. You may choose two of the Metamagic options to learn from the Sorcerer class (page 102 of the PHB). You may only use one Metamagic option on a spell when you cast it, unless otherwise noted. When you use a Metamagic option in this way, you do not use sorcery points. Instead, you must sacrifice material wealth (such as coins, gemstones, or even weaponry) that is worth at least 10gp per sorcery point required by the feature. This wealth must be on your person, such as in a backpack or belt pouch you are wearing; wealth inside extradimensional spaces such as a Bag of Holding cannot be spent in this way even if you are the one carrying the bag. The wealth evaporates, crumbles to dust, or destroys itself in some irretrievable fashion once you have used the Metamagic, as your patron collects its due. ### Gilded Armour *10th Level Miser Feature* Your wealth literally dazzles your opponents. As a reaction when you are targeted with an attack roll by a creature you can see, you may force that creature to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is blinded until the end of your next turn; this is inflicted before the triggering attack roll is resolved. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. ### Treasure Trove *14th Level Miser Feature* You gain access to the nigh-unlimited extradimensional hoard of your patron. As an action, you may roll 1d100 and, on a roll of your warlock level or lower, pluck a single object of your choice seemingly from thin air. This object must fit within a 5-foot cube , and can have a monetary value up to 500gp. Whether you succeed or fail on this roll, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
