Starlight Elf

All those who call themselves Endari have always stared at the

stars, even long ago when they were bound to the ground, reaching for the skies, longing to touch them. It's said that this longing dragged these stars down, being caught by them, and filling these Endari with their light. These star-touched individuals crafted ships out of their hope, carrying all those who shared their passion to catch their own stars and be as free as them

The Endari, also known as Starlight Elves, are Astral Sea fairing, adventurous descendants of the ancient high elves who left their planetary bonds and made their way into the stars. Unlike their far off cousins, sun and moon elves, they are much more curious and playful, having a natural wanderlust that leads them well into traveling the stars, to see things never before seen, and eventually understand the universe.

Explorers of the Stars

The Endari are physically similar to elves, due to their heritage, however years of space travel, as well as exposure to magic they derive from starlight, has changed them in new ways, setting them apart from their ancestors in ways that are obvious from a glance, Their complexion is a pale, soft blue color, this shade varies only very slightly, with exposure to sunlight making them darker with time, with eyes of a matching shade. Starlight Elves have light, almost naturally floaty hair, that is usually a almost white teal, but in rare cases, or with the application of dyes, can be a darker blue shade, or even a mossy green. They are notably more lithe, but much softer in facial features, giving them a more cheerful, almost more human than elven expression, they are capable of growing facial hair, and have notably longer ears than the average elf, usually extending to a length of about 3-4 inches, with a slight fringe at their base.

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.

Superior Darkvision. Your darkvision has a range of 120 feet, instead of 60.

Extra Language. You can read, speak, and write one additional language of your choice.

Incisive Sense. You have advantage on Investigation and Insight checks.

Empathic Sense. As an action you can focus your senses on one humanoid you can see within 30 feet of you. Make a Wisdom (Insight) check contested by the target's Charisma (Deception) check. On a success you instantly learn the target’s prevailing emotion, whether it’s love, anger, pain, fear, calm, or something else. On a fail you learn nothing and can’t target the target with this trait for 1 hour.

Endari Magic. You know the Dancing Lights cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Faerie Fire spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Once you reach 5th level, you can also cast the Magic Missile spell once at 2nd level and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
