Apeblitz

Roaming the world are, at first glance, monkeys that hold theirselves with the posture of men. However, these monkeys, called apeblitzes for their propensity for mayhem and horseplay, are actually a sophisticated bunch. Apeblitzes run the gamut from complete savages to brilliant geniuses.

Apeblitz Names

Apeblitzes names aren't particular to a given gender. Their names are designed to be powerful when yelled, frightening off would-be adversaries and competitors.

  • Apeblitz Names: Banagopolos, Bonipea, Chugoria, Dessopolo, Ghomiki, Harlambe, Jorjok, Monkbroos, Myknedes, Pneykourgos, Poppel, Tovangelia

Apeblitz Traits

Your apeblitz character has the following racial traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2.

Age. Apeblitzes reach maturity around the age of 12, and can live to be up to 60 years of age.

Alignment. An alignment divide falls along the boundaries of the two subraces of apeblitzes. Wild apeblitzes are one with the unpredictable whims of nature, and are often chaotic in alignment. Civil apeblitzes, on the other hand, are usually neutral or lawful. Good and evil can be found among members of both subraces.

Size. The roaring apeblitzian force of personality is betrayed by their quaint stature. Your size is Tiny.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

Handy Dandy Feet. Your feet count as hands, and you can use them in all the same ways, such as wielding weapons, holding shields, and performing somatic components for spells. You fall prone if both of your feet are occupied.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common.

Subrace. There are two kinds of apeblitzes: wild and civil. The distinction among the two subraces is more of a cultural and societal split, rather than one of heritage. Choose one of these subraces.

Civil Apeblitz

The civil apeblitzes have turned to the comforts of civilization, indulging in it's plentiful amenities. The scientific world is an endless joy of discovery and amusement for such apeblitzes, many of which find work in artificery. The call of the wild is never quite eroded in these monkeys, however, and are prone to fits of animalistic behavior.

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.

Tireless Scholar. Civil apeblitzes are often nocturnal, napping briefly during the day and studying at night. You only require 4 hours of sleep during a long rest, and you can finish a long rest in 6 hours.

Well Studied. You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Arcana, History, or Nature.

Wild Apeblitz

True, hearty apeblitzes roam the wilderness nomadically. These wild apeblitzes act on their urges as they please. Engaging with these monkeys logically is moot, as they know the only source of authority is whichever individual possesses the biggest stick and the shrillest cry.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.

Svelte Simian. You add your Dexterity or Constitution score (whichever is higher) to your Strength score when determining the number of feet you can jump.

Wild Tradition. You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Perception, or Survival.
