Physical Characteristics

Weight 300 lb. x(1d4) lb.

Physical Appearance

Wemics are creatures very similar to centaurs with the lower half of a lion and the upper half of a humanoid. Unlike a centaur, which has the face of a humanoid, wemics have a different face depending on where they are from. While some have the face of a feline, some have a face that's more human, similar to a centaur. Their exact feline traits vary based on the region they hail from, though they are most often leonine in appearance.

Culture

Wemics are a nomadic species who do not make settled homes, instead forming patriarchal prides, following herds of beasts that they hunt for food. These tribes typically have spiritual leaders such as druids. Sometimes, a number of prides will join together to form a larger Tribe, selecting a chieftain from their patriarchs.

Names

Wemic have no specific naming conventions, though they usually either choose names in either Common or Sylvan.

Wemic Traits

As a Wemic, you have the following racial traits.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. Wemics reach adulthood in their late teens, and live less than a century.
Alignment. The nomadic society of the Wemics causes them to lean towards Chaotic alignments, but there are exceptions.
Size. Wemics can stand 6 and a half to 8 feet tall and generally weigh well over 300 lbs. Regardless of your position in this range, your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Claws. Your retractable claws are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Climb. You have a climbing speed of 20 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Hybrid. Your creature type is both humanoid and monstrosity.
Keen Senses. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Natural Athlete. You have proficiency in the Athletics skill.
Tauroid Build. Your hulking size comes with pros and cons. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push or drag. In addition, you have disadvantage on Strength (Athletics) and Dexterity (Acrobatics) skills that involve flexibility or fitting into or through small spaces.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan.
