Quicksand

An area of ground within range becomes quicksand, slowly sucking people down into it and becoming difficult terrain. When a creature enters the affected area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, they must make a Strength saving throw to resist the spell effects.

Failed Strength saves cause creatures in the area to become grappled and pulled 5ft towards the center of the spell. Failing a second Strength save causes a creature to become restrained instead of grappled and pulled another 5ft.

Passing a Strength save causes creatures to remove the most recent effect of the spell and they aren't pulled 5ft; if they're restrained, they become grappled. if they're grappled, they break free.
