Replicant Archetype

While copy and forgery is part of the life of a great number of rogues, replicants learn to tap into the magic around them without completely mastering it like a magic user would. Instead, they use its strength to turn the balance at their favor using the tools of their enemies against them.

Sneak Replication

Starting at 3rd level, FLAVOUR TEXT. When you miss an attack, you can make another attack against a different target within the range of your weapon. If this attack hits, the creature takes force damage equal to half the damage of your Sneak Attack feature (rounded down).

Scholar's Copy

Also, at 3rd level, now your mind is as sharp on the battlefield as it is outside of it. You can spend 10 minutes studying a creature's handwriting. For 1 hour, you can copy the handwriting of that creature.

Replicated Future

At 9th level, you can now simulate how you would act on a scenario without risking yourself. As an action, you can send an illusory copy of yourself to move up to your speed to a point you can see within range and perform an action. The illusion uses one of your base movement speeds to reach that point, making any necessary saving throw using your stats. When it reaches the destination, you can instantly teleport to its position (no action required) and do the action you specified. The illusion disappears at the end of your turn, and can't interact with physical objects or creatures, but it will move as if it could do it.

Synchronized Casting

Beginning at 13th level, you learn to replicate the movements and power of a caster to help it with their spells. When a creature you can see casts a spell, you can use your reaction to increase the level of the spell in 1, as if being casted by a higher spell slot, up to 9th level. Also, the caster adds half of your Sneak Attack dice (rounded down), to one damage roll of the spell.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier before needing to take a long rest.

True Replica

Starting at 17th level, mastering your art, you can now replicate your own reality. You can cast the mirage arcane spell. When casted this way, it has the following modifications:

  • The range of the spell is centered on you
  • When you cast the spell, you can add any number of illusory creatures to be inside the area affected by the spell. This illusions make sound and interact with the area as if they were real, but creatures and objects from outside the illusion can go through them.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until next dawn.
