Sacred Oath

Becoming a paladin involves taking vows that commit the paladin to the cause of righteousness, an active path of fighting wickedness. The final oath, taken when he or she reaches 3rd level, is the culmination of all the paladin’s training. Some characters with this class don’t consider themselves true paladins until they have reached 3rd level and made this oath. For others, the actual swearing of the oath is a formality, an official stamp on what has always
been true in the paladin’s heart.

Oath of the Dracolyte

Dracolytes are devout followers of dragonkind, sworn to evoke their ideals and to emulate their strength. Those that take this Oath act as heralds and warriors, spreading their devotion to the glory of the mighty wyrm.

Many Dracolytes follow the draconic deities. Paladins in service to Bahamut, Tiamat and Sardior often take this oath, drawing on the power of these powerful draconic beings.

Tenets of the Dracolyte

The tenets of a Dracolyte are to embody dragons in every way.

Draconic Majesty. Become a paragon of your draconic ideals, be they the lofty goals of the metallic, or the selfish designs of the chromatic.

wings of a dragon, taking off with a
torrent of wind. As an action, you gain a flying speed
of 60 feet until the end of your next turn. Additionally,
all creatures within 15 feet of you must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone.

Aura of the Dragon

7th-level Oath of the Dracolyte feature
You emanate an aura of draconic power while you aren't incapacitated. The nature of this aura is tied to a specific type of dragon. Choose one of the following options when you gain this feature:

Shield of Bahamut. You and your allies are protected against draconic power by an aura of silvery, platinum light. Choose a damage type: acid, cold, fire, lightning or poison. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to the chosen damage type. You can replace your choice with another option from the list whenever you complete a short or long rest.

Contempt of Tiamat. Your foes are demoralized by an overwhelming aura of hatred. Whenever a hostile creature within 10 feet of you makes a saving throw, the result is reduced by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Resolve of Sardior. The minds of your allies are defended by an aura of psychic energy. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws to resist being charmed or frightened.

Bard College

The way of a bard is gregarious. Bards seek each other out to swap songs and stories, boast of their accomplishments, and share their knowledge. Bards form loose associations, which they call colleges, to facilitate their gatherings and preserve their traditions.

College of Dragonsong

Dragonsong is an ancient art of music created by the dragons themselves. This mysterious, magical form of performance is seldom taught to outsiders, but a rare few among the mortal races are permitted to study under draconic masters.

Dragonsong lyrists are bards who have mastered the art of dragonsong, and through it, manifest strange and wondrous magical effects. In addition, they often act as diplomats between draconic and mortal society, and as scholars of draconic history.

3rd-level College of Dragonsong feature
Your time studying among dragons has left you skilled at conversing and interacting with them. You can speak, read and write Draconic. Call Dragon

14th-level College of Dragonsong feature
Your music not only enchants and enthralls, but can call powerful allies to the battlefield. You learn the spell summon draconic spirit. It doesn't count against your maximum number of spells known.

Additionally, you can use this feature to summon a true dragon as your ally. As an action, name a dragon. The named dragon must make a Charisma saving throw, which is modified by how well you know the target and the age category of dragon it is. The dragon is aware of you summoning it, and can voluntarily fail this saving throw.

Knowledge Save Modifier
Secondhand (you have heard of the target) +5
Firsthand (you have met the target) +0
Familiar (you know the target well) -5
Age Category Save Modifier
Ancient (801+ years old) +10
Adult (101 - 800 years old) +5
Young (6 - 100 years old) +0
Wyrmling (5 years old or younger) -5

On a failed save, the dragon is summoned by magic, and appears at a location of its choice within 100 feet of you. If there is no space for the dragon to appear, the summoning automatically fails. It remains for 10 minutes, or until you dismiss it (no action required), after which it returns to the location from which it was summoned. For the duration, it is friendly to you and your companions, and will obey any verbal commands you issue to it (no action required by you). Otherwise, it will defend itself from hostile creatures. After you use this feature, you must complete a long rest to use it again. If the target of this feature failed its save, you can't use
this feature again until 1 week has passed.
