Monk - Way of the Mind

To defeat a foe without even touching them is the pinnacle of martial arts, at least to the monks of the Way of the Mind.

Psionic Push

When you select this way at 3rd level, you gain the ability to move things with your mind. In place of an unarmed strike, you can expend one or more ki points to push a medium or smaller object or creature a distance up to 20 feet in any direction. This distance is increased by 10 feet for every ki point you expend beyond 1.

The size of objects and creatures you can push increases at 6th level (large), 11th level (huge), and 17th level (gargantuan).

Mind Speech

Also starting at 3rd level, you are able to speak to others in their minds. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 90 feet of you, but this ability does not give it the ability to reply.

You don't need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.

Telekinetic Ward

Starting at 6th level, you can wrap your influence around your enemies minds, making them unable to fight you. You can expend 2 ki points to cast sanctuary on yourself, requiring no components. When a creature fails its Saving throw against sanctuary, you can use your Psionic Push ability on it as a reaction without expending any ki.

When cast in this way, sanctuary always lasts for 30 seconds, rather than ending early if you make an attack.

Psychic Suspension

Starting at 11th level, you are able to expend 3 ki points as a bonus action to cast fly on yourself, requiring no components, as your telekinesis allows you to take to the air.

Additionally, you don't provoke opportunity attacks when you fly out of an enemy's reach.

Mind Burst

From 17th level onwards, you can discharge a massive burst of psychic energy as an action. When you do so, all creatures within 20 feet of you must succeed on an Intelligence Saving throw or take 6d8 psychic damage, taking half damage on a success.

You can do this once, and can regain the ability to do so either by expending 4 ki points, or completing a long rest.
