## Barbarian At 3rd level, a barbarian gains the Primal Path feature, which offers you the choice of a subclass. The following Path of the Draconic Warrior option is available to you when making that choice. ### Path of the Draconic Warrior Barbarians who walk the Path of the Draconic Warrior draw their power from an inner draconic spark. That spark fuels their rage, granting them abilities that resemble those of dragons. Such a barbarian might have received a draconic gift firsthand, or have a revered dragon ancestor. You can choose the origin of your draconic might or determine it by rolling on the Draconic Origin table. ##### Draconic Origin | d4 | Origin | |:---:|:-----------:| | 1 | One of your ancestors was a dragon, and their magic flows especially powerfully through your veins. | | 2 | You once defended a group of dragon hatchlings. In gratitude, their parent gifted you with draconic might. | | 3 | You revere a powerful draconic spirit, which fuels the ferocity of your rage in return. | | 4 | You somehow acquired a weapon or relic from a dragon's hoard, and since that day you've gained an unexpected connection to draconic magic. | \columnbreak #### Draconic Presence *3rd-level Path of the Draconic Warrior feature*
___ Draconic power flows through your very being, amplifying your ferocity and force of personality. You gain the following benefits: ***Draconic Intimidation.*** You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill if you don’t already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for ability checks you make that use that skill. ***Tongue of Dragons.*** You learn to speak, read, and write Draconic or one other language of your choice. #### Draconic Fury *3rd-level Path of the Draconic Warrior feature*
___ When you enter your rage, choose a damage type: acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. While you’re raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns with a weapon attack takes extra damage of the chosen type equal to your barbarian level. #### Draconic Aspects *6th-level Path of the Draconic Warrior feature*
___ While you’re raging, you gain resistance to the damage type chosen for your Draconic Fury. You can also alter your form to gain physical characteristics common of dragons. When you finish a short or long rest, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts until you finish your next short or long rest: ***Burrowing.*** You gain a burrowing speed equal to your walking speed. ***Claws.*** Your unarmed strikes deal slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. ***Climbing.*** You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. ***Swimming.*** You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed. \pagebreak
#### Draconic Might *10th-level Path of the Draconic Warrior feature*
___ Your rage manifests even greater draconic power and ferocity. When you enter your rage, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts until your rage ends: ***Blindsight.*** You have blindsight out to a range of 30 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature, unless the creature successfully hides from you. ***Draconic Breath.*** Once on each of your turns, when you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with an exhalation of draconic energy in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier), taking 3d8 damage of the type chosen for your Draconic Fury on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. ***Frightful Presence.*** As a bonus action, each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can see or hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature frightened in this way can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to your Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours. #### Draconic Wings *14th-level Path of the Draconic Warrior feature*
___ Your inner draconic spark overflows in the heat of battle, further transforming your appearance to resemble that of a dragon. While you're raging, a pair of draconic wings sprout from your back, granting you a flying speed equal to your walking speed. \columnbreak > ##### Bonus Content > * Want even more dragon content?
