Description: The effect of Sanguine Detonation is split into two parts: one which offers a [Fortitude](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Fortitude) saving throw and one which offers a [Reflex](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Reflex) saving throw.
**First Part**
If the target of Sanguine Detonation fails the [Fortitude](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Fortitude) saving throw, the blood within their body becomes severely unstable; they begin to [bleed](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Bleed) for [x] points of damage each round. This effect persists until they [die](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Dead), unless it is ended prematurely via a [Heal](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/heal) check with a DC of 21 or via the application of an effect that restores [hitpoints](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Hit-Points). Furthermore, if their current [hitpoint](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Hit-Points) total becomes less than 1 while they are afflicted by this [bleed](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Bleed) effect, they explode.

**Second Part**
When the target of Sanguine Detonation explodes, they [die](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Dead), in which case a shower of blood erupts from their corpse, dealing [z] points of damage to every being that is within 40 ft. of them; this damage is doubled for any being that fails the [Reflex](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Reflex) saving throw. Additionally, each being that fails the [Reflex](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/#TOC-Reflex) saving throw becomes afflicted by the same [bleed](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Bleed) effect(s) that had afflicted the target of Sanguine Detonation before they [died](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Dead) (as well as any secondary effects that accompany those [bleed](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/conditions/#TOC-Bleed) effects).
