# The Hexblade ## Pact of The Mimic Many Hexblade warlocks form psychic connections with their weapons, following the twisted doctrine of their cunning masters. The Pact of the Mimic is blessed upon the most rigid and worthy of the Hexblades given that it takes immense training and practice to tame and be one with the mimic weapon. They must learn to be one soul, Beast and Humanoid, both twisted by the dark powers that form this unnatural bond. ## The Weaponized Mimic When you get this boon at 3rd level you are blessed by your patron with a young mimic that you must nurture and care for. At lvl 3 your mimic may take any melee weapon form and has a damage die of 1d6. This increases to 1d8 at 6th level, 1d10 at 11th level, and 1d12 at 15th level. The mimic is a living creature and must be fed and cared for on a daily basis. If basic nourishment and entertainment requirements are not met, the DM may call for a D100 roll. The DM may repeat this up to the number of Warlock levels of the player. The DC for this roll increases by increases by 25 for each successive day of neglect. On a Successful roll the mimic may remain dormant or in weapon form, on a fail the mimic will seek out it's out source of nourishment or entertainment under the control of the DM. The mimic deals piercing damage considered as magic for resistance purposes. If a mimic is lost due to necglect or other means, the player may spend a week communing with their patron for a replacement, resulting in a mimic the same size as the current Warlock level. Mimics must be fed fresh meat with blood on a daily basis. Cooked or preslaughtered meals will not be accepted by the mimic as nourishment, but may be given as treats. ## Eldritch Invocations ## Hunger Training Your mastery of controlled starvation has taught your mimic to be extra voracious when feeding upon your enemies. Your mimic hunger has a Base Starting DC of 25 that increases by 15 for each successive day of hunger. A hungry mimic deals twice its damage rolls for each attack. After a number of attacks equal to half your warlock level rounded down, the mimic is now satiated and must be starved for a full day before its hunger returns. \columnbreak ## Predatory Scent (Prerequisite lvl 6) Your mimic constatly feeds you telepathic information on the surrounding sources of food. You gain 10 feet blindvision when you have your mimic in your hand or when equipped in weapon form. ## Obedience Training Your mimic learns to follow feeding cues and waits patiently for reward. It takes 7 days of neglect before the mimic seeks out external sources of nourishment. ## Terrifying Form (Prerequisite lvl 6) You can mentally command your mimic to flare and bare it's maw, immediately leaving weapon form to become a creature of nightmares. Creatures that can see the mimic must make a Wisdom Saving thow against your Save DC or be frightened for 1 minute. You must make a long rest before you can use this again. ## Detachable Mimicry (Prerequisite lvl 8) You may force your mimic to create a mundane object that it knows or mimic an object following a mold and detach itself from the mimicry, creating an illusion of the physical object. The mundane object acts as if it is made of the proper material, but the illusion breaks if it is pierced or bruised. ## Ravenous Bloodthirst (Prerequisite lvl 15, Hunger Training) You may mentally influence your mimic with the heat of battle and it instantly gains Hunger. You must complete a long rest before you can use this again. ## Singular Mind (Prerequisute lvl 15, Obedience Training) You and your mimic have now reached the pinnacle of mutual understanding. You have advantage on saving throws against enchantment spells as long as your mimic is conscious or present.
