Animate Elemental

You infuse inanimate material with elemental essence borrowed from the inner planes. Choose an area of air, earth, fire, or water that fills a 2-foot cube within range. The target material animates for the duration as a Small elemental under your control. The elemental uses the Animated Elemental stat block.
On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command any elemental you made with this spell if the elemental is within 60 feet of you (if you control multiple elementals, you can command any or all of them at the same time, issuing the same command to each one). You decide what action the elemental will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the elemental only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the elemental continues to follow it until its task is complete.
When the spell ends, the elemental reverts to inanimate material, collapsing or dissipating as appropriate. The spell ends early if the elemental dies.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can animate up to two additional elementals for each slot level above 3rd. You must target a different area of material for each elemental.

Amorphous Form (Air, Fire, and Water Only). The elemental can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Earth Glide (Earth Only). The elemental can burrow through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone. While doing so, the elemental doesn't disturb the material it moves through.
