I crafted this handout so that we can make sense of all the information in the DMG, and XGTE about making encounters. How big? How many? XP?

I hope you don't have to spend as many hours as I have, studying every bit I could about these things because it really is fairly simple. It's just... so spread out and wordy. D&D hardly explains themselves; They leave it ALL up to us. Which is great! That gives, the DMS especially, the power to craft their own experiences!

But to have power, you must attain knowledge. To have knowledge is to understand.

That is what this handout is for. This is the references for any DM that is trying to build encounters or by level, or by tier. As well ass the direct sources via "🔎 lookup" blocks for easy reference.

Spell Cost? 🔎 Look up: DMG > Chapter 9 > "Modifying a Class", Spell Point Costs

Basically, each spell of that spell level, costs this number of spell points from their total spell points.
For example: A 3rd level spell caster has a total of 14 spell points to spell on spells known. If their max spell level is 2nd, then they could have a total of 1st or 2nd level spells.
