Construct Guards
These beings, typically carved from stone or forged from various metals, are not born but crafted by skilled artisans, wizards, or other magical entities to serve as sentinels, protectors, and sometimes even avatars of their creators' intent. While they lack the free will of living creatures, they more than compensate with unyielding resolve and often vast physical prowess, making them formidable opponents and invaluable allies.
Constructed from durable materials such as granite, marble, iron, or enchanted metals, these guards are immune to many of the vulnerabilities that plague their flesh-and-blood counterparts. They neither tire nor feel pain, allowing them to stand watch for decades without reprieve, if not longer. Intricate runic inscriptions, often etched onto their surfaces, not only serve as embellishments but also channel the magical energies that give them life and purpose.
One of the most awe-inspiring traits of the Construct Guards is their astounding resistance to physical harm. Given their nature, forged from materials that have stood the test of time, they boast a resilience that few living creatures can hope to match. Whether a sword is swung against a stone sentinel or an arrow is shot towards a metallic guardian, the result often bears witness to the futility of such attempts.
