Martial Archetype
Vistani Knife Fighter
The enigmatic Vistani who roam the domains of dread are all too familiar with the dangers that lurk within the mists of Ravenloft and have become specially adept at combating them. Vistani knife fighting is a time honored tradition that has been honed by the nomads to combat all sorts of beasts and men both living and dead. While the Vistani themselves are not too keen to share in their traditions with outsiders, they have brought the technique to lands beyond the mists and taught it to a lucky few.
Bonus Proficiencies
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in two of the following skills of your choice: Acrobatics, Deception, Perception, Performance, Sleight of Hand, or Stealth.
Deadly Daggers
Starting at 3rd level when you choose this archetype, you have learned to wield daggers to deadly effect against the minions of darkness. While you are wielding a dagger, you increase its damage die to a d6 or to a d8 if you hit an undead creature with it.
Vistani Combat Flair
At 3rd level, you have learned to the unique combat techniques of the Vistani. You gain the following benefits:
-
While you are wielding only a dagger in one hand and have your other hand free, you gain a +1 bonus to your AC and when you hit a creature with a melee attack using a dagger, you can attempt to Grapple or Shove it as part of the same action using your choice of a Dexterity (Acrobatics) or Strength (Athletics) check.
-
When you make a ranged weapon attack using a dagger, you treat it as having twice the normal range and when you miss with a ranged attack using a dagger within its first range increment, you can use your reaction to cause the dagger to ricochet back into your hand and make another ranged attack with it.
-
When you engage in two-weapon fighting with daggers, you can make the off-hand attack as part of the Attack action, and when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points or score a critical hit using a dagger, you can use a bonus action to move up to half your speed and make one attack as part of the same action. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Keen Edge
Beginning at 7th level, you know exactly where to strike to cause the most damage while wielding your signature weapons. Your weapon attacks using daggers score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, and you add an additional damage die when you score a critical hit with them.
Iron Will
When you reach 10th level, your mind has been hardened by the horrors of the mists and you know how to resist the dark arts of your enemies. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws or in your choice of Intelligence or Charisma saves if you are already proficient. Additionally, when you reroll a saving throw through the use of your Indomitable feature, you gain advantage on the roll.
Swift Striker
Starting at 15th level, you strike quickly and decisively in a flurry of deadly attacks. When you use your Action Surge feature, your movement speed is doubled until the beginning of your next turn, your movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and if you use the Attack action you can make one additional attack using a dagger.
Misty Shroud
At 18th level, your movements are so fast they make you seem like an incredibly hard to hit misty apparition. While you are conscious, creatures who target you with an attack must roll a d20. On a roll of 5 or higher the attack goes through as normal, it otherwise automatically misses you.
