Druid, Circle of the Chimera
Druids often take the form of animals, in order to get more in tune with nature. Some druids, however, take this a step further, combining the traits of various animals in order to become a more powerful being.
Chimera Forms
Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to partially change you physiology, granting you the traits of various animals. As an action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature in order to gain 2 of the following effects for one hour, or until you use this feature again:
- Tiger's Claws: When you take the attack action, you may replace each attack with a melee spell attack, dealing 1d8 + your wisdom modifier on a hit.
- Beetle's Armor: Your AC becomes equal to 13 + your wisdom modifier.
- Cheetah's Legs: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
- Eagle's Eyes: You gain Advantage on Perception and Insight checks.
- Quipper's Fins: You gain a swim speed equal to your walking speed.
Advanced Chimera Forms
Starting at 6th level, when you use your Chimera Forms feature, you may gain 3 of the benefits instead of 2. Additionally, you may choose a feature from this list in instead of one from the normal list:
- Bear's Ferocity: You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
- Chameleon's Skin: You gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks, and can hide when lightly obscured.
- Gorilla's Strength: You gain advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.
- Hawk's Wings: You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed.
- Octopus' Tentacle: Once per turn, when you hit with a melee attack, if the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC equal to your spell save DC).
Monstrous Chimera Form
Starting at 10th level, when you use your Chimera Forms feature, you may gain 4 of the benefits instead of 3. Additionally, you may choose a feature from this list in instead of one from the normal list:
- Bulette's Maw: You gain a burrow speed equal to half your movement speed. Additionally, you gain Tremorsense out to a range of 10 feet.
- Displacer Beast's Pelt: Attacks made against you are made with disadvantage. If an attack does hit you, the effect is suspended until the end of your next turn
- Catoblepas' Stench: Any creature other than a catoblepas that starts its turn within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be poisoned until the start of the creature's next turn. On a successful saving throw, the creature is immune to your Stench for 1 hour.
- Roper's Tendrils: Your attacks gain a reach of 30 feet, and you may manipulate objects at the same distance.
- Remorhaz's Flesh: A creature that touches you or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you takes 2d6 fire damage.
Superior Chimera Form
Starting at 14th level, when you use your Chimera Forms feature, you may gain 5 of the benefits instead of 4.
