Character Lineages

A character in Biolance begins with one Lineage chosen from those in this section. Work with the DM to decide where your character's lineage came from. Each lineage's description also includes a table to spark your imagination as you think about your character's lineage.

Cybernetics are machines or half-machine humanoids who take on the guise of any species really, but with mechanized traits. Across the galactic timeline, the perfection of creating Cybernetics reached its peak during the Protodermic Wars when the Singularity AI fashioned the perfect race of Cybernetics, a schematic outlawed by the Galactic Community but pursued or used by many.

Sigilate are creatures born and branded with a Mark to have an affinity for spellcasting. The so-called "Perfect" Casters over time have become stable in comparison to their predecessor prototypes, the aberrant sigilate. Magicorps and Wizarding Enterprises hire and employ Sigilate whose powers become manifest in the ancestries of commonfolk, and many seek the lost research to manufacture Sigilate's Mark that grant such power.

Morphlings, also called Changelings or Shapeshifters are humanoids that can adopt the features of any form, yet still hold the strengths of their ancestral race.

Elementalists or Elemental Affinates, also called Genasi ages back, are all or any being that inherited the power of the elemental forces of the planes, and wield them to devastating effects.

Gene-Warriors are humanoids whose physical traits have been greatly exaggerated by biomancy, posed to act as tougher soldiers and warriors on the frontlines of some of the galaxy's greatest conflicts.

Mutants are beings physically altered by living on estranged worlds, whose genome has been tampered and now exhibit aberrant, freaky traits.

Psi-Sensitive are any creature with an aptitude for psionic powers. Gifted with minor telepathy and a limited control over psionic powers.

Solarians are humanoids with an aptitude for the natural cosmic powers, and can channel the powers of shimmering starlight or the hungering void.

Arma are formchangers that can adopt and magically polymorph their features into mighty weapons of power, often meant to be wielded in the field of battle.
