Destructive Presence. Once per round, when the dragon moves or makes an attack, one piece of cover within 10 ft. of it is destroyed if it is half cover, or reduced to half cover if it is total or three quarters cover. The area of cover destroyed can be no larger than 10 feet wide and 5 feet deep.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Actions
Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its claw, one with its tail whip, and one with its wing.
Claw. Melee weapon attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d8+8) slashing damage.
Tail whip. Melee weapon attack: +14 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d10+8) bludgeoning damage.
Wing. Melee weapon attack: +14 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d6+8) bludgeoning damage.
Fire Breath. The dragon exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 63 (18d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Each creature that takes damage from the dragon's breath weapon catches fire. Until a creature takes an action to douse the fire, the target takes 7 (2d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns. A creature who has cover from the dragon's Fire Breath may add the cover bonus to their saving throw, and takes no damage on a
successful save, or half damage on a failed one, and the creature does not catch fire. A 60-foot line on the edge of the target area catches fire and remains until doused by water. A creature who passes through the fire takes 4 (1d8) fire damage. Once the dragon has used its Fire Breath, it cannot do so again until it recharges. The dragon's fire breath recharges at the end of its next turn.
Legendary Reactions
The dragon has a number of special actions called Legendary Reactions, listed below. There is no limit on the number of Legendary Reactions the dragon can take in a round, but a Legendary Reaction requires a specific trigger before it can be used. Only one Legendary Reaction can be used at a time.
Beating Wings. If the dragon's Armour Points are reduced to 0, it begins to take flight. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Dread Roar. If a creature the dragon can hear within 120 feet. of it attempts to cast a spell with verbal components, the dragon bellows a roar that drowns out the sound, causing the spell to fail. Once the dragon uses this ability, he cannot do so again until it finishes a short or long rest.
Swift Retaliation. If the dragon takes damage from a ranged weapon attack, it may fly up to half its flying speed towards the attacker and attempt to grapple them. On a successful grapple, the target takes 17 (2d8+8) slashing damage. Once the dragon uses this ability, he cannot do so again until it finishes a short or long rest.
Tail Sweep. If the dragon takes damage from a melee weapon attack while within 5 feet of at least two hostile creatures, it may make a sweeping attack with its tail. Every creature within 10 feet of the dragon must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or suffer 19 (2d10+8) bludgeoning damage and be thrown back 15 feet and knocked prone. Once the dragon uses this ability, he cannot do so again until it finishes a short or long rest.
Wing Shield. If the dragon is targeted by an effect which would force it to make a Dexterity saving throw, it wraps its wings protectively around itself as a shield, automatically succeeding the save. Once the dragon uses this ability, he cannot do so again until it finishes a short or long rest.
