The Ka'ren: An Ancestral Lineage

Ka'ren Traits

    Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.

Size. You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you gain this lineage.

Gender. Ka'ren are not defined by their gender but rather by their unmatched entitlement. Male and female Ka'ren are both equally common.

Alignment. Ka'ren are entirely self serving and rarely anything but chaotic.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Can I Speak to Your Manager  Even the most powerful creatures answer to some form of greater calling. By invoking the higher powers that another creature answers to, you can add a d6 to one Charisma check you make to interact with that creature. You must finish a short or long rest to do so again.

Rambling Nuisance. Your loud, rambling voice is a distraction to nearby creatures. When you speak, creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you suffer disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to perceive anything other than you. A creature that can't hear you is gratefully immune to this effect.

Raucous Headspace. Magic that attempts to read your mind against your will only senses incoherent screeching and gathers no information from you. Anyone who tries to telepathically communicate with you hears the same thing unless you allow it.

Seething. You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Intimidation or Deception.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice. Your verbal utterances can also be understood by any creature that understands Deep Speech or Abyssal, even if you do not know either language.
