Blazing Smite

1st-level evocation

The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack before this spell ends, a blazing flame emerges at the point of impact. The target of the attack and each creature in a 10-foot cone originating from that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 1d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 1st.

Freezing Smite

1st-level evocation

  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack before this spell ends, a mantle of freezing ice appears at the point of impact, and the target takes 1d6 cold damage and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained by the ice until the spell ends. A Huge or larger creature succeeds automatically on this saving throw. If the target succeeds on the save, the ice melts away.


A creature restrained by the ice or one that can touch the creature can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. On a success, the target is freed.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.

Shocking Smite

1st-level evocation


  • Casting Time: 1 bonus action

  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack during the spell’s duration, your weapon crackles with lightning-blue energy and the attack deals an extra 1d6 lightning damage to the target. Additionally, if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or drop whatever it is holding and be charged with electricity. Until the spell ends, the target takes an additional 1d6 lightning damage whenever it makes a weapon attack for the first time in a turn. Whenever it takes this damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the spell on a success.


A creature affected by this spell can use its action to carefully unload the energy from its body, ending the spell.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.

Spider Bite

1st-level necromancy

  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit with a melee weapon attack during this spell’s duration, your attack deals an extra 1d6 poison damage. Additionally, if the target is a creature, it must make a Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for the duration of the spell. The poisoned creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the spell on a success.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.

Dragon's Bite

2nd-level evocation


  • Casting Time: 1 bonus action
  • Range: Self
  • Components: V, S, M (a gemstone worth at least 10 gp embedded in the guard of a weapon)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

The next time you hit a creature with the weapon used in the spell's casting before the spell ends, the silhouette of a mighty dragon emerges from the weapon and bites the target, dealing an extra 2d10 damage to it. Then the spell ends.

The next time you hit with a melee weapon attack during this spell’s duration, your attack deals an extra 2d6 necrotic damage and you regain hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt. Then the spell ends.


At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
