# Pugilist Fight Club: Dragon Brawler V.0.1 Most [pugilists](https://www.dmsguild.com/product/184921/the-Pugilist-Class) are masters of their own form, relying on nothing more than their own strength to carry them through battle and hardship. However, others living in worlds filled with magic and wonder may find themselves drawn to magic themselves, seeking out and emulating the strange beasts and beings of the world to enhance their own fighting styles. And of the many beings in the world, few strike as much awe and fear as dragons. Dragon Brawlers, alternatively known as Dragon Slayers from the much-believed idea that the best way to kill a dragon is with the power of another, emulate the great beasts and harness magic to replicate their abilities. Whether they learned it from a draconic teacher, bathed in the blood of a dragon to gain its power, or simply channeled some innate power, these pugilists are a force to be reckoned with. ### Blood of the Wyrm When you choose this fight club at 3rd level, you must choose a draconic bloodline from which to channel your power from. This will determine the elemental damage you are attuned to. |Dragon Type|Elemental Damage| |-----------|----------------| |Black|Acid| |Blue|Lightning| |Brass|Fire| |Bronze|Lightning| |Copper|Acid| |Gold|Fire| |Green|Poison| |Red|Fire| |Silver|Cold| |White|Cold| Whenever you make an attack with an unarmed attack or a pugilist weapon, you may choose to deal elemental damage of your chosen type instead of the normal damage type. In addition, you can read, speak, and write Draconic, and may add your proficiency bonus to all Charisma checks made against dragons of your chosen type, even if you already add it (such as by being proficient in a skill). \columnbreak ### Dragon's Roar Starting at 3rd level, once per turn when you take the Attack action on your turn, you may choose to forgo one of your attacks to instead breath out a stream of destructive energy in either a 20-foot cone or a 30-foot long, 5-foot wide line (you choose each time you use this feature). This deals damage of your dragon's type equal to 1d6 x your proficiency bonus. Creatures within the area may make a Dexterity save with a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. On a success, a creature takes half damage from the attack.
You may use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining the ability to do so after a long rest. If you have no uses available, you may instead expend 1 Moxie point to use this feature again. ### Elemental Arts Starting at 6th level, a thin sheen of dragon scales begins to coat your body. You gain resistance to the elemental damage of your dragon type. In addition, you gain the following Moxie abilities: \pagebreakNum + ***Wyrm's Reach.*** When you take the Attack action on your turn, you may expend 1 Moxie point to increase the reach of your unarmed strike and pugilist weapon attacks by 5 feet until the beginning of your next turn. If you do so, the damage of all attack you make using this deal your dragon type's elemental damage rather than their normal damage. + ***Draconic Consumption.*** When you succeed a saving throw against an effect that deals damage of your dragon type's element, you may use your reaction to expend 1 Moxie point. If you do so, you take no damage from the effect (even if it would normally still cause damage on a success) and you gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus as you consume the effect.
### Dragon's Roar Improvements At 11th level, your Dragon's Roar features now uses d8's for damage instead of d6's, and the range increases to a 40-foot cone or a 60-foot long, 10-foot wide line. ### Great Wyrm's Visage Also at 11th level, you may expend 2 Moxie points in order to create an elemental aura surrounding you in the shape of a dragon. While using this aura, you shed bright light out to 30 feet and dim light another 30 feet. In addition, you have advantage on all Charisma (Intimidation) checks, and you, along with a number of creatures of your choice (up to your Constitution modifier) within 30 feet of you, deal an extra 1d6 damage of your elemental type whenever they bit with a unarmed, weapon, or spell attack. This aura lasts for one minute. If you activate your Bloodied but Unbowed feature while using this aura, you may choose to end the aura early as part of the same reaction. If you do, you gain extra temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus, and any hostile creatures within 30 feet of you have to make a Dexterity save or take damage as if affected by your Dragon's Roar feature. You then cannot use your aura again until you complete a short or long rest. ### Dragon Force Beginning at 17th level, you have finally unlocked your true potential as a Dragon. When you activate your Great Wyrm's Visage aura, you may choose to gain the following benefits: + You are immune to your dragon's energy type. + You may use your Draconic Consumption Moxie ability even if you failed the saving throw. If you succeeded the saving throw, you may use it without spending a Moxie point. + When you first activate the aura, all hostile creatures within 60 feet of you that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to your Dragon's Roar DC) or become frightened of you for one minute or until your aura ends, whichever comes first. They may attempt a new saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end the effect only is they cannot see you. \columnbreak >***Credits*** >+ Class Credit: Pugilist by Benjamin Huffman >+ Picture Credit: Jason Chan (Fate Reforged Key Art) >+ Picture Credit: [r-trigger (Zuko)](https://www.deviantart.com/r-trigger/art/Zuko-310396064) >+ Theme Credit: Jared Ondricek (Xanathar's Guide to Everything Theme)
