Spear Dancer Fighter Subclass ——————————— Created by Lance Dennison
This subclass is inspired by the Aiel Far Dareis Mai, or Maidens of the Spear, from the Robert Jordan series, Wheel of Time. "To dance the spears" is what the Spear Dancers live by — what anyone else would simply call combat. But a fight with a well-matched opponent is not so different from a dance with a partner, and for the Spear Dancers, combat is something far greater than mere conflict. The display of honed skills and precise technique is a dazzling expression of athleticism and dexterity to any outsider, but to those "wed to the spear", the back-and-forth and reading of each other's movements in combat is one of the most powerful and honest connection any two can have; it is an honor to connect through the dance with another. To emulate a Spear Dancer, one must devote themselves fully to the dance and accept that each dance may very well be their last. They strike in the least likely of moments, exploit every opening given to them, and dance away from attacks that leave their opponent reeling.
