### Circle of Caustics The natural world includes many beautiful landscapes and majestic creatures. However, toxic swamps, poisonous plants, and venomous beasts are just as much a part of nature. Druids of the Circle of Caustics recognize this, and see that the destruction caused by caustic substances is sometimes necessary for new life to grow. Channeling the powers of acid and poison, they themselves take on an active role in this natural cycle. #### Circle Spells *2nd-level Circle of Caustics feature* *** At 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Caustics Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you. ##### Circle of Caustics Spells | Druid Level | Circle Spells | |:---:|:-----------| | 2nd | *ray of sickness*, *Tasha's caustic brew* | | 3rd | *dragon's breath* (acid or poison only), *Melf's acid arrow* | | 5th | *elemental weapon* (acid only), *stinking cloud* | | 7th | *elemental bane*, *vitriolic sphere* | | 9th | *cloudkill*, *contagion* | #### Caustic Form *2nd-level Circle of Caustics feature* *** You gain the ability to harness the power of caustic fluids. As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape to take on a caustic form, rather than transforming into a beast. The form lasts for 10 minutes. It ends early if you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again. While this feature is active, you gain the following benefits: * Whenever you deal acid or poison damage to a creature within 15 feet of you, you gain temporary hit points equal to your druid level. * Once during each of your turns, when you deal acid or poison damage to a creature, you can force it to make a Constitution saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is poisoned until the end of your next turn. * You are immune to the poisoned condition. While in your caustic form, your skin turns a sickly color and oozes green slime and noxious fumes. \columnbreak #### Biting Liquids *6th-level Circle of Caustics feature* *** Your exposure to caustic substances has enhanced your body's defenses. You are immune to disease. In addition, your spells and class features ignore resistance to acid and poison damage, and whenever you cast a spell that deals acid or poison damage while in your Caustic Form, you can roll a d8 and gain a bonus equal to the number rolled to one damage roll of the spell. #### Toxic Soul *10th-level Circle of Caustics feature* *** You have resistance to acid and poison damage. If you are in your Caustic Form, you instead become immune to acid and poison damage. In addition, whenever you would inflict the poisoned condition on a creature that is already subject to that condition, you can instead cause the creature to take 1d8 poison damage. #### Overwhelming Caustics *14th-level Circle of Caustics feature* *** You can inflict the poisoned condition on creatures that would normally be immune to it, and your spells and class features treat immunity to acid or poison damage as resistance. Additionally, when you use a spell that deals acid or poison damage to reduce a creature or an object to 0 hit points, the target is disintegrated. A disintegrated creature and everything it is wearing and carrying, except magic items, are reduced to a puddle of green sludge. The creature can be restored to life only by means of a *true resurrection* or a *wish* spell.
