Numen

"Hear me, Demigods. My children beloved. Make of thyselves that which ye desire. Be it a Lord. Be it a God. But should ye fail to become aught at all, ye will be forsaken. Amounting only to sacrifices..."

Queen Marika The Eternal.

History

The Numen are a race of beings descended from otherworldly travelers. Long lived and seldom born, Queen Marika the Eternal is the primary exemplar of this race in many aspects.

The Numen are commonly associated with divinity similar to how Omen once were in the long past. Now commonly referred to as Demigods, Empyreans, and Divine Proxies of Gods.

Numen are always born from at least one other Numen, and have dominant enough traits, that unless completely alien compared to Humans, will birth a Numen. Such races are: Animal Folk, Draconic Folk, Goblinoids, and Orcs.

Appearance

Numen have nothing about them that truely sticks out compared to humans, aside from their eyes and height.

Numen Names

Numen are granted their name from their parents, but as they grow older, it's not uncommon for a Numen to give themselves a new name as they age. Numen typically have no surnames, and it isn't uncommon for them to gain a title in such a place.
