Druid Circle: Circle of the Cultivator
Many druids seek to understand the secrets of plants. This is where members of the Circle of the Cultivator excel. Their affinity for plants not only amplifies their plant based magic, but also allows them to grow plants that others would think impossible. Many members are also known to transform themselves into trees to better understand the mind of the plants they care for.
Root and Leaf
When you choose this circle at 2nd level you understand that nature has many tools it can use. You learn the Tangling Root and Razor Leaves cantrips, both listed at the end of this subclass. They do not count against the number of cantrips that you know.
Green Thumb
Also at 2nd level you are specially adept at growing plants using your magic. Plants you plant from seed and tend to regularly grow at twice the usual rate, grow to twice the usual size, and yield twice as much harvestable material.
Additionally, while touching any plant, you may expend a spell slot to grow that plant as if one year had passed per level of the spell slot expended. If the plant would reach maturity due to this magic, it stops aging at the peak of its maturity. If you use magic to age a plant that has an accelerated growing speed thanks to the first part of this feature, it ages at a rate of 2 years per level of the spell slot.
Furthermore, you automatically succeed any check you make to identify plants.
Tree Shape
At 6th level you learn how to become like the trees. When you use your wild shape feature you may transform into an Awakened Tree. You may cast cantrips while in this form but must abide by the other rules for wild shape.
Garden of Majesty
When you reach 10th level you are able to create a garden of magical plants that few others are familiar with. It takes one week of downtime and 100gp to create your garden. After that, it can provide any raw material needed for crafting up to a limit of 100gp per week.
You might also be able to grow more unique plants in this garden. Talk with your DM to determine any special plants you might grow here.
Creatures other than you cannot harvest this garden for materials as many of the plants are completely foreign and can be dangerous if not harvested correctly.
The garden lasts until you create a new garden, at which point the old one withers and dies. Hostile creatures can also damage and potentially destroy it.
Adept Thorns
At 14th level your basic plant spells have ascended. When you cast Thorn Whip, or Razor Leaves, the d6s are replaced with d10s.
Your Entangle spell deals 1d10 piercing damage to any restrained creature at the start of its turn.
When you cast Wall of Thorns, the duration no longer requires concentration. Additionally, if you cast it using a 7th level spell the duration becomes 1 day. With an 8th level slot the duration is one week, and with a 9th level slot the duration lasts until dispelled.
Tangling Root
Transmutation Cantrip
- Casting Time: 1 Reaction, when a creature moves
- Range: 30 feet
- Components: V, S

You cause roots to rise up out of the ground, threatening to trip a creature as it moves. The chosen creature must make a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone.
At 5th level a creature that fails its saving throw must spend 2 feet of movement for every foot it travels for the rest of its turns.
At 11th level the creature must make a Strength (Athletics) check against your spell save DC in order to stand up, remaining prone on a failure.
At 17th level a creature knocked prone by this cantrip is restrained.
Razor Leaves
Transmutation Cantrip
- Casting Time: 1 Action
- Range: 60 feet

You throw several sharp leaves at one target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the creature. On a hit it takes 1d6 slashing damage and cannot regain hit points until the start of your next turn.
This spell’s damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6)
