
Path of Skalds
While most see barbarians as uncultured and stupid, it iss rare to find a single warrior that doesn't value the stories of legendary heroes, larger than life figures whose strength and fearlessness inspire people to this day. Skalds are the barbarians that value those stories he most, charging in battle with such enthusiam it's nearly impossible not to be inspired - or terrified, depending on which side you're on.
Skald Knowledge
When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill, and one of the following: Deception, History, Persuasion, or Religion. You also gain proficiency in one musical instrument of your choice.
Rageful Inspiration
Starting at 3rd level, when you enter rage, you can choose a number of willing creatures equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). While raging, the chosen creatures gain the following benefits if they aren't wearing heavy armor:
- Advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
- When making a melee weapon attack using Strength, gain a bonus to the damage roll equal to the barbarian's rage damage bonus.
If the chosen creatures are able to cast spells, they can't cast them or concentrate on them while under Rageful Inspiration.
Rageful Inspiration ends early for a creature if they are knocked unconscious, if their turn ends and they haven't attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then, or if they end as a bonus action.
Song of Endurance
Starting at 6th level, whenever an ally you can see within 60 ft makes a Strength or Constitution saving throw, you can give that ally a bonus to their roll equal to your rage damage bonus. You must use Song of Endurance before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Teller of Sagas
At 10th level, you learn to cast Legend Lore without using a spell slot or material components. After you cast the spell in this way, you can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Hymn for the Fallen
Beginning at 14th level, whenever an ally must make a death saving throw but before they roll it, you may use your reaction give them a bonus to the roll equal to your rage damage bonus. A creature can only benefit from this feature once per day.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
