# Dragonmorph race Dragons are primordial beings known from time when elemental chaos merged into one seeming whole world. As one of oldest races in the universe, some of them adapted to assume forms of humans, dragonborns, elfs and other mortal races to coexist better with them. Some of those dragons created societies among mortals, creating long lines of pureblooded ancestry. Other dragons might just learned ability to transform into mortals so they can hide their big bodies and better make their evil will into action. Whatever the origin of transforming dragons is, they are also otherwise called by this new name, Dragonmorph. ## Physical description Dragonmorphs have two different looks, one is their original Dragon from, which is nothing different than ordinary metallic or chromatic dragon. Other is their mortal form which is always the same. This form can resemble any humanoid race. Sometimes their humanoid race transformation isn't complete, so they can have dragon scales covered on some parts of their bodies, horns, and their eyes or hair might resemble their draconic race. Their humanoid form mostly tends to be more perfect version of their original humanoid race, with them being more beautiful or muscular than original race specimens. In their humanoid shape, they are abnormally stronger, and tougher than their original race, with them being able to regenerate faster, stand heat or cold better, their humanoid metabolism adopted some of their dragon blood features, which gives them this specific characteristics. For some Dragonmorphs these features comes at cost, for being too long in humanoid from, they grew weaker in their draconic form. ### Dragonmorph Traits Your Dragon blood and humanoid experience gives you following traits. **Creature Type.** You are considered both humanoid and dragon. You determine your appearance and whether you resemble any of humanoid races. **Age.** Dragonmorphs age at about the same rate as dragons, they grow faster than humans, reaching physical maturity at age of 6, but aren't considered adult until age of 50-100 and can live for few millenniums. **Size.** You are Small or Medium (your choice). **Speed.** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. **Ability Score Increase.** One ability score of your choice increases by 2. **Immense Talent.** You gain one feat of your choice for which you qualify. **Humanoid Racial Trait.** You gain one of the following options of your choice: -Darkvision with a range of 60 feet. -Proficiency in one skill of your choice. **Languages.** You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic. **Damage Resistance.** You have resistance to the damage type that you are immune in your Dragon Original Form. **Dragon Original Form.** You have the ability to assume the form of a dragon, or revert back you your humanoid form as an Action. The form you take is always the same. You can transform into Wyrmling version of one type of dragon. You can't attack, use flying movement, use action special traits, Legendary resistance or actions, including your breath weapon attack while in this form. Your game Statistics, are replaced by the Statistics of the chosen Dragon Form, but you can keep your mental ability scores while transformed. You are limited in the Actions you can perform by the Nature of your new form. your gear melds into the new form. You keep your current and maximum health while in this form and if you die in this form, you die for real. You remain in this form unless you choose to revert. At Level 6, you can use your action for only one attack, and breath weapon only once per day. At level 10 you can use your flying movement speed. At Level 16, you can use your Multiattack feature, and you can use breath weapon even in your humanoid form. Your form changes with your age and level (both requirement has to meet) as shown in following table: | Dragon Form | Age | Level | |:---:|:-----------:|:-----------:| | Wyrmling | 5 years or less | 1-5 | | Young | 6-100 years | 6-10 | | Adult | 101-800 years | 11-15 | | Ancient | 801 years or more | 16-20 | ## Subraces: ### Ascendant You attained your transformation alone. Ascendant dragonmorphs are usually ascetic or vagabonds that live alone maybe even unknowing they were dragonmophs until they awakened their transformation power. **Draconic Strength.** Your unarmed attacks are exceptionally deadly. Your Unarmed Attack uses a d6 for damage and increase by dice level if you use both empty hands for the attack (it becomes d8 if d6, d10 if d8 and d12 if d10). You can also make unarmed attack as bonus action if you used Attack Action to attack with Unarmed Attacks only. **Draconic Resilience.** Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level. ### Inherent You inherited your transformation. Inherent dragonmoprhs usually live in society of other dragonmophs and are born with their transforming ability. **Draconic Warding.** You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic. **Draconic Metabolism.** You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
