Dreamwalker Cowl

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

While wearing this garment, you gain the following benefits and abilities:

  • Eyes of the Dreamer. You can see up to 30 feet into the ethereal plane.
  • Shared Imagery. You can use an action to send images from your imagination to any willing creature you can see. Any purely visual information can be relayed in this manner for up to one round.
  • Master Dreamer. You can choose to immediately fall asleep at any moment for any duration of your choosing (deciding beforehand what conditions can wake you). This effect ignores any effects (or intrinsic properties) that prevent you from being put to sleep. When you do this, you can freely enter, exit, and alter the dreams of creatures you know and who are willing to let you enter their dreams. Additionally, you cannot be put to sleep magically by other creatures or effects against your will.

This garment also has 3 charges and regains all expended charges when the attuned creature sleeps uninterrupted for at least 6 hours.

While wearing it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to use one of the following abilities (save DC 15):

Sleep (1 charge). The Sleep spell is cast with yourself as the center. Additionally, you can have the spell ignore any creatures of your choosing.

Calm Emotions (1 charge). The Calm Emotions spell is cast with yourself as the center. Additionally, the spell effect's range is increased to a 30-foot-radius sphere.

Hallucinatory Terrain (2 charges). The Hallucinatory Terrain spell is cast with yourself as the center and with a duration of 8 hours. The effect produced moves along with you, keeping you at its center and dynamically changing to fit your journey through the illusion. You can spend 20 minutes asleep to change the nature of the illusion as if casting the spell again.
