College of Inspiration
Bards of the College of Inspiration have mastered the art of inspiring just about anyone. No matter the situation, bards of this college have a quip or piece of advice to provide.
Inspire Courage
Starting at 3rd level, your bardic skill can assist others in battle. When a creature that has one of your Bardic Inspiration dice starts its turn, they can choose to expend the die to grant one of the following benefits:
- Immediately end the Frightened condition on themselves
- Gain a bonus to attack and weapon damage rolls equal to half your proficiency bonus for 1 minute.
Inspire Competence
Starting at 6th level, you can provide aid to anyone with a smile and some approximate knowledge. When a creature that has one of your Bardic Inspiration dice makes an ability check, they can choose to treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10. Each time they use this ability, the size of their Bardic Inspiration die shrinks by one size (d12 -> d10 -> d8 -> d6).
If a creature with a d6 Bardic Inspiration die uses this feature, the Bardic Inspiration die is spent as normal.
Inspire Greatness
At 14th level, you understand how to inspire others to a degree that you can turn even the most inexperience warrior into a threat. When you roll initiative, you can choose to expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to Inspire Greatness in a number of creatures that you can see equal to your proficiency bonus. Creatures under the effect of this feature gain the following benefits:
- They gain a number of temporary hit points equal four times your Bard level.
- They have a bonus to their AC equal to half your proficiency bonus.
- They have advantage on saving throws.
- They gain one benefit of your Inspire Courage feature
