Piercing Body. The Pierced Zombie has several pieces of sharp metal through its body. Whenever a creature up to 5 ft. away hits it with a melee weapon attack, they take 3 (1d6) points of piercing damage. Additionally, when the Pierced Zombie grapples or is grappled by a creature, the creature takes 7 (2d6) points of piercing damage at the end of the zombie's turn for as long as the grapple persists.
Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.
